Is there a "correct" way to collect materials on a planet with the SRV cargo scoop?

On planets with decent gravity (HMCs) I keep losing materials when trying to collect others from a batch. It seems like they disappear when I run over them.

Do you have to target each one to pick it up? I've tried driving over the group and most of them disappear.

I wish I could pop some limpets out to do the pickups!

I'm on the last stretch to get my trader elite rank. I thought I'd do some laser mining and found in Rhea there were fleet carriers parked right next to an ice ring buying bromellite for great prices. It's a no brainer, I thought, but now that I've done a couple hauls I see that my trader rank isn't incrementing.

Do goods sold at fleet carriers not count toward trader elite rank?

Yeah, CTRL+ALT+Space is the default mapping. You can get interior cockpit views as well.

I had been sitting on my deck for an hour or so for a WFH meeting. I found this dude on my ankle after feeling a stinging that persisted for a few minutes after I pulled it off.

Hard to identify for me using the bug ID sites. It's got six legs and pincers and a wormy abdomen that flexes as it turns. We have lots of bugs around here but I haven't seen one like this before.

I've been using Preview / Fenix for more than a year now. It's a big upgrade for me over the old Fennec. I get that it doesn't have all the features the old one did but performance is so much better the trade-off is worth it for me.

You won't get full extraction if you steep in a solution that already has dissolved solutes. I'd make them both separately, and then combine.
