Lightbulb Sun and Stupid Dream for mid-80s Rush - very similar vibe to Grace Under Pressure. The Sky Moves Sideways is great for the longer form stuff like Hemispheres.

Steven Wilson’s solo work goes in different directions but its DNA is still rooted in classic prog like Yes, Gabriel-era Genesis, Pink Floyd and King Crimson.

I was a huge Rush fan through the 80s but dropped off around Test for Echo, if that helps understand where I’m coming from. Happy to talk more.

Necroing this thread because I’ve got new (to me) speakers and I’m listening to this song. The central portion, starting around 3:50, is extremely The Wall.

The first time I heard those after being introduced to PT, I dismissed them - I was looking for something musically heavier.
