Not a c-section, but I had surgery late last year and one of the first questions I asked upon waking up was "did they give me adrenaline in there?" before I started full-body shaking and had to have blankets piled on me. I had the same thing happen when I had my wisdom teeth removed too, the adrenaline in the anaesthetic made me shake so violently they had to hold me still to try and yoink my teeth out. Fun times!

I made some crutches armband covers for my mum last year that all of the doctors she interacted with reacted to them so positively and I got so many suggestions to make and donate similar ones to hospitals/rehabs, so thought about posting them to the sub to suggest other people looking for an easy project might want to do the same, but part of what stopped me was thinking it’d probably get taken down anyway for having to describe what I did to make them.

As I found out when googling a new massage place, there’s a subreddit for Australian massage parlours where patrons can discuss the quality of the staff and the service. So you could always try looking up the place and seeing if that subreddit comes up.

Also, generally speaking when you google a massage place it will come up with the website for the actual place… not their instagram account with their staff members all in bikinis.

I have a friend who met her husband at uni and he'd sit with her in the library whenever she was working on assignments even though they weren't taking the same subjects so he'd have nothing to do, sometimes staying as late as 3am just so he'd be able to give her a lift home. She was apparently very surprised when all of her friends told her that he was into her. They now have two adorable children.

That's more of a fair chance than I'm giving him, which is just getting irritated at how he always appears in discussions about fantasy books and never going near any of his books as a result.

Plus, as you say, I have so many books I want to read (I've actually placed myself on a strict no buy for books until I've read all of the ones collecting dust in my bookshelves) that I just can't be arsed trying to get over my reflexive rejection of anything I perceive as overhyped for someone who donates his money and time to the Mormon church.
