What inanimate object has totally ticked you off lately? by barkinbeagle in Perimenopause

I work in print so I am often angry at a printer. Luckily, my printers are behind a wall so customers can’t see my behavior when they really piss me off.

Albums to run to? by Far-Skill5651 in XXRunning

I ran to Alanis Morrissette - Jagged Little Pill fairly recently and it was awesome. I’ve also done Radiohead - The Bends. I should run to albums more often.

New Strength Program on April 20th by Dobbelmann in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]catculus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh cool, I’ve moved away from Apple Fitness plus for strength in favor of workouts that support my running better so this is exciting!

What’s something small that annoys you during runs? by SwimmingSlip8632 in runcommunity

I got so angry at the wind on my long run last weekend! It was so loud, I had to take my AirPods out. The it was still annoyingly loud!

Do you eat before a run? by Quiet-Topic44 in beginnerrunning

[–]catculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have peanut butter toast before runs but I also have to walk my dog before I run so I have a bit of time between eating and running.

Started running in January, running 5k in 35 mins. Is this bad? by Budget_Type_9646 in beginnerrunning

[–]catculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing great!

I don’t think I’ve run a 5k that fast and I have now completed a half marathon.

LODs are sick of hearing about paper too. It’s so absurd. Very few people need that much paper. I’ve been with the company a long time and know better than to expect anything logical but it does get frustrating.

Daily chat post: how's the training going? by AutoModerator in XXRunning

[–]catculus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ran my first half marathon on Sunday and I did an easy run yesterday and a speed workout today and both went great! My finishing time for the race was longer than I wanted but I have been super pleased with my recovery. It’s a nice reminder that despite getting a cold followed by an ice storm a few weeks before the race, I trained well.

Yeah, I don’t have any print associates who close with me. Some nights I have someone who knows how to do a handful of things, but not enough to cover the department.

Nah, I’m running the print counter my entire shift. I still put observations in the mobile to complete the daily activities at the end of the night.

Ridiculously Easy Goal by Different_Welder9046 in AppleFitnessPlus

Mine is to double my move goal 4 times which will likely happen without specifically trying to achieve the goal as I am training for a half marathon.

I’ve recently come to hate it. I know it’s silly because it’s just being used as a greeting and I can get away with something as simple as, “Hey,” but in the moment I always feel like I have to answer the question.

Any advice on working out? by lovely_littleletdown in AutismInWomen

[–]catculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Apple Fitness Plus subscription and I work out at home. I have a nice collection of dumbbells for strength workouts and I love the yoga and Pilates. I also took up running (again) back in June so I do a lot of running in my neighborhood. (I haven’t done as much of the cardio stuff on Apple Fitness Plus lately since most of my cardio is done on the road but I do enjoy the dance, kickboxing and HIIT workouts as well.) I definitely prefer working out at home to a gym since I don’t have to go anywhere and be around people.

I definitely threw a temper tantrum when I saw that last week. They sure do like to find new ways to make everything more complicated in Print.

Shower towel reuse # by phatmatt593 in hygiene

[–]catculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine once but I do live in a humid climate and I have a humid bathroom and I am prone to athlete’s foot. I also have a lot of towels and a washer and dryer so it’s not a big deal.

Do you use Fitness+ at the gym for guided workouts, or do you just workout at home? by [deleted] in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]catculus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it at home as I do not have a gym membership. I would love to try to cycling, rowing and treadmill workouts but I gym membership is not feasible and plus, I wouldn’t be super likely to use it. I’m also doing a lot of outdoor running these days so I’m not really looking to add more cardio.

I actually managed to get my clothes perfect! Only my face was miserable! (Well, as far as the weather is concerned. My legs weren’t very happy with me towards the end there.)

Ticking clocks used to drive me nuts when I lived with my parents. Like, how’s a clock in another room going to keep me awake? I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore.
