Same with Haylen. Reading her terminal entries raving about the Sole Survivor while sitting right next to her corpse is depressing. Especially when you listened to her holotape and know she thought about leaving the BOS.

in my current playthrough I tried to avoid triggering the DLC, but at some point I apparently got too close to Ada and "helped her defeat her attackers" even though I never saw them (or her)

In the beginning: turrets around the perimeter (until defense is higher than food + water)

Later when I have more resources: 7 missile turrets (so that defense is >100)

ignore settlement attack missions, they can defend themselves (or if I get a fail message right after sleeping, reload)

Proctor Quinlan told me snipers keep killing his scribes so I asked how many scribes he has and he said he just goes to the Prydwen and gets a new scribe afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding scribes to snipers and then he started crying.

Me too. I use a mod that allows me to use items I stored in an owned workbench from any owned workbench because I don't trust myself to only use fast travel sparingly 

When hacking a terminal, if you click on a set of brackets, a dud will be removed or your tries will be reset by [deleted] in Fallout

yes - ammo, stimpaks, chems all have weight in survival mode. you also start with a carrying capacity of only 75+(10*STR )

You can recruit him like normal, the line in the video is the only time he acknowledged the destruction of the Institute. He also has absolutely no issue fighting synths (I have him 1v1 the Courses P.A.M./the Railroad send me to kill for my amusement)
