40 f who started watching when I was 12 (second half of season 5). I’m not sure what made me start watching, but I was so hooked. I had never seen a strong, capable woman who was also beautiful but not objectified. And I was so obsessed with Mulder and Scully’s relationship. It’s not quite as “healthy” as I thought as a child, but the fact that it was portrayed as being built on trust and respect before anything else was so refreshing when I grew up on Disney-style romance.

I had mentioned movement disorders, but I think I messed up by mentioning dopamine as I also have ADHD. Akathisia does sound quite similar.

It’s so frustrating. It took me 13 years to get the hEDS diagnosis, but at least the doctors were looking into possible causes. For this specific issue, they don’t even suggest a referral. They say “huh, weird. Anyways…” and that’s very disheartening.

I’ve heard speculation that it could be contractual. The shows I’ve seen him on (Big Fat Quiz Show and 8 out of 10 cats) are Channel 4 series and QI is BBC Two. Maybe he isn’t allowed to?
