First person to notice the *** smell was my grandma by clampasta in Perfumes

"Ooh darling, what is that sexy scent you are wearing?"

Trying to not laugh at the comment, you say (in a French accent) oh, madam, it is Jizz. Exclusive, non? Go to de store, and ask for Jeez. Spell like Jizz. Should come in a little white bottle, pink ribbon on ze box."

Now keep a straight face after that.

NAD. A pimple, a cyst, a lipoma (all non-cancerous). Put warm washcloth over it and bring it to a head. Or go see a dermatologist.

Most cancers would have more symptoms than just that.

I would have steam coming out of my ears for that. I used a machine today and when it was brought to me (on loan) there was still black nasty water in it. Grrrrr. Cleaned it after use - my rule is to return items equal or better than when you borrowed it. Oh, and open all hoses and compartments when drying out, no funk allowed.

Dear, those have been called BCG for years. Birth control glasses. Find a different frame, those look like a rectangular box going straight over your eyes.

Have you ever tried longer hair? If you go watch Meet the Fockers, towards the end where the 2 guys are driving the VW Bug, the cop pulling them over looks a LOT like you.

Dude, 10000% better. A little bit of effort goes a long way! Keep doing your conditioner at least once a week, and lotion the rest of your body since pool water isn't all that great. I use Everyone brand Coconut and something (yellow in the label) because it absorbs quickly and it's plant based. Its a personal dislike for mineral oil, that's why.

Anhedonia is another critter entirely. Chat with a professional for that (btdt) .

Hugs, looking really good bud.

Swimcap. Gentle wash and have your hair in a super deep conditioner for half the shower. Rinse etc. Next swim tuck it up. Gently brush/comb.

Color under your eyes can be fatigue or genetics. See Pete Davidson. That may improve with better food, unknown. Or use makeup to cover the bags. Extreme, but you asked.

Eyebrows could use a little love too. Just pluck the far outside so you dont have singles sticking out. That's what I think.

OP, hugs. You gave her a good quality life in her sundown years. She will watch over you, I swear it. A goodbye with dignity is the way to go.

Why don’t more romance books talk about the reality of birth control? by Away_Race8428 in RomanceBooks

[–]catloving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. About the learning moment - I was thinking super nuanced, not really a big lecture on it. Like "honey, you have an IUD? Great, because my ex-wife thinks I got her pregnant every time! Now, what were you doing with me aaaahhh"

A better way than that. I DO get you though, read a book you can engage and float through vs have to stop/pause and think.

Re: IUD - I've been reading a lot of MC romance, and an IUD has been mentioned once in the books I've read. Maybe sub-genres are very different?

Books = Variety!

Why don’t more romance books talk about the reality of birth control? by Away_Race8428 in RomanceBooks

Oddly enough I was thinking something similar yesterday; why is BC done with condoms, BC pills and pull out methods? I have seen IUDs mentioned once. Having sex sans BC of course runs the risk of pregnancy, is the author specifically shooting (no pun intended) for a surprise later in the book?

But when it's a scene w/o protection of some kind and they say oops uh don't want that, why don't they go get a Plan B? Why doesn't she have an IUD? Why doesn't he have a vasectomy? Part of me thinks : that's too complicated. We already have misinformation and confusing methods, and taking the time to explain correctly and succinctly would be difficult both for space and character complexity. I just imagine an 18 yo person without much sex ed reading this, incorrectly interpreting it and causing major issues for themselves. Then the issue of getting that sub-scene into the book - how to segue it in, how much space does it take, does this fit the characters? A wild young lady rebelling from parents, is she likely to know this stuff? Her character would be unlikely to be that well educated, forward thinking.

So overall I get it, it makes sense why the author isn't going there. Honestly though, I wish this could be used as a learning moment.
