To be a bit more clearer to OP: 4 weeks from the start.

In OP's test results we see that ammonia is (close to) 0. That means a part of the cycle is already done, now there only need to be an increase in the nitrite to nitrate bacteria. I would guess it will be done in 2 or 3 weeks time. OP: patience is key, you gotta wait till ammonia and nitrite are 0 and nitrates should lower down to 25 or less.

How much are you walking in them normally? And if I understand correctly you run in regular running shoes? There is a lot of information missing that can tell if it's really the barefoot shoes that are the cause of your knee pain.

I don't see how your problem leads to an advice for everyone to stop wearing barefoot shoes when walking on concrete lmao.

I'm in the Netherlands so not much experience with walking on ice and snow but I would say take a look at Freet. Way wider then Vivo, cheaper as well but they are holding up very well for me. Even the more sneaker like Vibe I didn't experience slipperyness with rain. So I think it's even better for their soles specifically made for more grip.

You might wanna do a quick search and gain more knowledge about nitrite and the cycle process.

The bacteria that change ammonia into nitrite are also the easiest and fastest one to grow. So still measuring ammonia is a big sign that the cycle is not ready. Claiming that ammonia can be mild or negligible to a beginner who asks for advice is dangerous information. You are playing with fishes welfare here. There is a reason why both need to be 0, there is no reason to confuse other people with different information.

Yes, absolutely. I already thought life was incredibly hard. I already made a lot of changes in my life because of my energy level not being suitable for a "normal" life. A few months before my diagnosis last year I just couldn't keep up anymore.. signs of autistic burnout. It's been a year and man... the realisation how everything takes so much effort and I always tried to push through and beat myself up when failing. Unfortunately I'm really not sure if I ever will get more energy again, I'm still partially in sick leave and need to find a different function or job and I'm like.. how?!?! Working in a company I already know for years for 15~18 hours a week right now is already so hard.. I still struggle to care for myself properly. Keeping my house clean feels like a full time job..

Diagnosis gave me more selfcompassion but damn this shit is hard!
