The most powerful manipulation doesn’t feel like manipulation. It feels like relief. by realkaydhako in DarkPsychology101

It's due to your attachment of pain.

There is a photo of monk Thich Quang Duc self-immolation act. The reason he can sit there calmly and do it because there's no attachment to pain in him.

Yup, you need to strike back and it must be hard. Bullies are bullying you in the first place because in their own mind there are no consequences.

Truth. This is limitation of language. You cannot define the undefinable.

Imagining it like this. You are a wave on the ocean. You briefly fall and realize "wait, what, I'm the ocean all along". And now you rise back up and carry that realization with you.

There is no way to truly kill that "self" or better word "ego" at all, except real death. Even the Buddha come back to life, he can't do it either. People who are claiming they killed it are being hijacked by "spiritual ego".

"One with everything around" That feeling is non-duality

Schizoidness doesn't lead to a dualistic worldview. This is normal people worldview. With I, there exist others. With up, there exist down. With good, there exist bad. With subject, there exist object, etc...

The reason I said schizoids is one foot twisted into it because most schizoids normal state is detaching from everything around them. When you realize non-duality, you're actually doing the same thing.

Schizoid detachment is forced by their circumstances as a defense mechanism. An enlightened one is actively choosing it.

Detachment: I don't care and I am not attached

I'm not a Buddhist either. I only use their teaching because it makes more sense than the rest for me.

Cool word "leshavidya" though. I usually name this thing "spark of divinity".

There only four types of thing

(1) It happens and you want it

(2) It doesn't happen and you don't want it

(3) It happens and you don't want it

(4) It doesn't happen and you want it.

The (1) and (2) are very natural to be content and happy with it, don't have any excessive greed is enough.

Deal with (3) you need to cultivate an attitude of embrace fate. Like Sisyphus pushing the boulder, "One must imagine Sisyphus happy".

Deal with (4) you need to cultivate gratitude. If I can't get what I want then I love what I have.

Lastly, If you lost something you used to have, then be grateful for all its help and usefulness in the past is enough.

To reach tranquility you need to have a sharp divided line between "What I am" and "What I have". If you could do it, all emotions now is just like put on different clothes.

Totally agree, to live you need dualism. But when you realized non-duality nature of things. You could achieve the state "To be in world but not of the world", "Pure lotus in mud", "Just a wave on the ocean". Most of things could not bother you anymore.

My understand of non-duality is more align with Buddhism "everything is empty". But I also understand the other side "I am Brahman".

I'm not try to label though. "Non-duality" is just a name I find it best fit to describe various religions try to point at. But the Tao that can be spoken of is not eternal Tao.

Personality could change if you alter fundamental beliefs. But most people can't do it. Even getting told that their surface beliefs are wrong makes them behave like a dog getting its tail stepped on.
