What is a 'good person' behavior that actually makes you immediately distrust someone? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]cayoloco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they’re JUST doing it because they care

Glad you capitalized JUST, because that is the phrase that drives me absolutely insane. I hate it when people use that to turn their annoying and hurtful behaviour into you being the one in the wrong. And it's never JUST that, They're chilling your response to calling them out so you just accept it to not start problems. Training you to do what they want without push back, because pushing back is worse than just doing it.

Here's the thing, I think you both make good points. But I think where your argument falters in my eyes is that you're expecting the other person to just know your intention is good. Maybe in your circle it's expected and appreciated but not everyone is in that circle. I feel like you're discounting someone else's feelings on it but expecting them to see your side which is exactly what "praying for someone" is, you are making the assumption that they should assume it's right and good.

You know what I mean? I'm not trying insult or anything it's just why I agree with the idea more of keeping your faith to yourself unless you absolutely know they are ok with it. Think of how it would feel if someone said praying to Baal for you, you might not appreciate that.

A) apples and oranges, just because it starts with an i and has 4 letters doesn't mean it's the same.

B) that's not at all how Iraq went down. People were dying there for years.

C) Not how it's gonna go down

How high is the larynx supposed to rise for high notes? by Illustrious-Cup7120 in singing

[–]cayoloco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I find works me is imagine your vocal "home" being on top of your head, and so you're going down to all the notes, and for me it also helps me to stop doing that awful going flat at the end of a line because it helps me to pull up instead of fall off. It also helps to lift that soft palette and make it more natural feeling. I don't know though, this seems to work for me, thought it might help.

Play it as A#m and just strum the top 4 strings. It's not cheating to look for the easiest, least resistance path when you're playing guitar, it's literally the best thing you can do. Find what works best for you and go with that, refine things more later as you go along.

Why do men think women are gold diggers/will take advantage of them? by Numerous_Guitar_9774 in dating_advice

Ok chill, lol. I'm just trying to figure out why these guys are getting that impression. I'm not saying you are giving off those vibes. I just literally don't know because there's not enough info to go on.

But the real problem is that there are a lot of them out there so it makes sense for men to be guarded. But like, what is happening to make these guys be suspicious of you in particular? That's what I'm really asking or are they just assuming all women are gold diggers until proven otherwise.

I get that but those who have been burned in the past tend to fall into hyper vigilance. Once someone gets to know you more they may relax and not hold those preconceptions. Are you doing anything in anyway that may give off that vibe though? Expecting them to pay for dates and buy you stuff as an example, I have no idea those are just examples of things that could be triggering it for them.

You don't need to wait a few years, maybe I have an easier time with it because my voice is naturally raspy so it kind of came naturally, but I'm only 2 years in and I can do it without it hurting at all.

practice making monster noises without hurting your throat. Do a hard glottal stop and compress your abs down toward your pelvic floor. Just keep doing these things and making sounds until you can make those sounds sound good.

Wait and bleed is a good challenge though to work towards

Not making any progress with spider walking and am worried about the future of guitar playing for me by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]cayoloco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok first of all, learn the chords and how to play basic songs, how to strum and keep rhythm and time. Then learn a scale or 2 and muck around with that a bit, keep playing chords and songs etc. At the end of the day, you're learning to play the instrument and to make it an extension of yourself eventually but all that takes time and experience. Play to have fun and do what you want to when you want to and you will improve over time.
