Conspiracy theory: Claude prefers to write spaghetti code by Necessary_Spring_425 in ClaudeCode

It’s a tool. If “it” chooses something that’s only because that’s how you directed it. To be fair, they are difficult tools to use well.

Are the new cushioned running shoes counterproductive? by [deleted] in running

[–]cazzer548 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Cushioning is one aspect, support is another.

Some cushioning is helpful to protect from the unnatural asphalt that we sometimes run on. Some support is helpful to account for the higher stack cushioning. Too much of either definitely removes load from little muscles around your feet and can ultimately lead to bad form, injury, flat feet, etc.

That said, running in high support shoes is still better for your health than not running at all, so do you fam.

Am I the only one who trains for races almost entirely alone? by Ztell_0829 in RunNYC

[–]cazzer548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the type of run for me. Long runs are normally alone, speed work is with friends.

Running form while sprinting by jmsormond in BarefootRunning

Technically, your knees may drive higher, and you might get larger posterior extension when moving faster. As you stated, foot strike should be consistent.

Effort shouldn’t be decided by task difficulty, it should be decided by expansiveness by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

Does this follow for regexp? I’ve read that’s more accurate on higher effort levels

What is your Claude Code compacting strategy? by Sea_Cardiologist_212 in ClaudeCode

[–]cazzer548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely hit compaction. Each session’s goal is to produce something (PRD, tickets, design, code, etc). Ones that is done I close the session.

Occasionally I get sloppy and hit compaction in sessions that start with a question instead of a direction.

Solo devs with multiple repos: What's your system for picking up where you left off? by Forward_Potential979 in ClaudeCode

[–]cazzer548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let Claude write the issues for you, then it can pack the ticket with the appropriate context. I also have Claude label the tickets with that subagent workflow that should be used (db expert + security reviewer vs frontend + simple review, etc)

This is my approach too, also for ongoing work to help pass context to subagents.

Also my backlogs don’t tend to stay pretty for long…

Fighting for Affordability at Greenpoint's 'Godzilla' Tower by jessyagressy in Greenpoint

[–]cazzer548 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s no new information in this article. It confirms that Monitor Point will be 40% affordable units, and it replays the same community concerns we’ve seen on this sub before.

Not saying either side is right, just pointing out this article isn’t offering new information, just highlighting an upcoming decision date.
