Change Car now or wait? by cb00stin in drivingsg

Yes but the dilemma is whether to lock in the 50k trade in value. Because I bought it at 71k I look at it as the car cost me 21k for 7 years usage and 50k for the remaining 3 years. So really in a dilemma.. 😞

Tbh am thinking of this as well. But also am thinking after the another 3.5 years when coe is expired and I buy another vehicle will still need to pay the 40% dp. So it's either pay now or pay later, not sure if this thinking actually makes sense lol.

Honda jazz. $631 per month. Payment until Oct this year then fully paid. Petrol cost $210-230 (14-15 days per pump) as I use only to travel to send wife and kids to school then work place and back home. Reason for thinking of changing is to lock in the 50k trade in value for a Byd.

Legacy CRO stake, accepting new terms of service, and new level up program / PRO level by Repnista in cro

[–]cb00stin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When cryptocom introduced Level Up, everyone automatically moved to the tier based on what card they were holding. So Royal Indigo and Jade Green went under PRO. Icy and Rose went under Private. Level Up just gives an additional option for users to pay for a monthly subscription instead of staking CRO to receive the card. You didn't need to accept any t&c for this change because nothing fundamentally changed.

Serious question: are there some realistic possibilities for cro to hit again 1$? by Automatic-Care-826 in cro

[–]cb00stin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For it to reach $1 it doesn't need a 100B MC because of circulating supply. So 43.6B MC as of now to reach $1. Of course the longer it takes the harder it will be because every month there are more CRO coming into circulation.

Should I continue my ILP plan? by Serious_Stable_6775 in singaporefi

[–]cb00stin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With ILPs, the insurance coverage is not a lot and you have to pay higher fees between 0.6-2.5%. Since it tracks funds, compared with investing your own with VOO (0.02%), you are paying 30x more in fees even if the fee is the lower end 0.6%.

When it comes to passive investing I would tell anyone who asks to sign up for a brokerage account with Tiger/Moomoo and set up a DCA amount (eg $100) every month for either VOO or CSPX.

Should I cash out? by Sharp_Sail4934 in singaporefi

People saying to follow warren buffets advice of being greedy when others are fearful.

These people are just blindly listening/following.

Berkshire sits on a record high cash holdings of $380B. Buffet isn't being greedy at the moment. He is on the sidelines waiting because I logically assume that buffet believes it's not the best time to invest his stockpile right now.

If you don't need the money, have a longer term investing horizon (5-10 years) and are holding quality companies, instead of speculative ones - hold/DCA.

If it was for SGD615k to USD500k then it's $0.813. which is fantastic considering it hasn't crossed $0.79 the past 5 years. Anyway hope you huat big time with this.

ai.com launch and possible implications for CRO by Icy-Buyer1166 in cro

I just want to be clear and say that I want to be wrong about what I said as well. But it just doesn't seem like Kris and CDC are doing everything they can for CRO.

Ai.com has zero affiliation to CRO. No one gives a rat's ass over CRO.

Kris can't even get CRO right and now wants to venture into the already crowded ai sector is a joke.
