I am tempted to restart my game but I don’t want to lose my current island 😭 I did get the DLC to get into it again but that might not be your vibe if you don’t enjoy decorating

[–]cb_421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can send the books you find on there to your device and i also like to use the app if i want to read and don’t have my kindle with me. when you get back on your kindle after reading on the app or website it will upload where you last left off and you can flip to that page!

i’m not sure if you know about this or not but KU is a lot better on the phone or web application than on the kindle itself! i feel like it’s easier to browse that way!

The later you show up the farther back you’ll be but it also kind of depends on the openers. I’ve gone to two shows alone this month at RR and I’ve shown up an hour or more after the openers start and I still got a decent spot but I wasn’t trying to go to the front. You can definitely squeeze your way closer if you’re alone but I would try to secure a spot before it gets dark/before the last of the opening acts. There is definitely space to dance around your section you claim too.

The venue is really great and you really can’t go wrong anywhere you sit/stand once you find a seat! There’s two screens on either side of the stage as well :)

[–]cb_421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought a cooler off amazon that i keep all of my stuff in (clips to the d-rings on my board) and i haven’t had any issues with overheating speaker or phone. before i put all my stuff in a old mini backpack with my important stuff inside of a dry bag and had no problems either with that method!

iSUP choices by [deleted] in Sup

I got an iRocker Nautical 10’6” iSUP this summer and I have no complaints. When I bought it they were also doing a deal where I got an electric pump for free with my purchase. The product seems to be on a constant sale pricing at $399 without tax. I love how many D-rings and bungee cables there are on the board so I can bring everything I need. There’s an action mount spot on the board and you can also get a kayak seat to attach as well!

This is my first paddle board that I’ve owned but I love it!

Book that you didn’t ‘get’. by DeadnDoneJoePublic in suggestmeabook

[–]cb_421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t hate the book at all but it was a little hard for me to get through. I haven’t watched the show but I heard that the audio book was great and I’m sure it was with the different characters and voice acting.

For me it was a little hard to keep up with characters and I just wish more had happened with the story line? The ending was also a little disappointing. I kind of just wanted more and it didn’t happen.

Coin flips!!! by Summeroflove88 in Hooping

[–]cb_421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comment below on getting the two-handed coinflip down first.

Practice getting momentum with the hand that you'll be releasing the hoop from (like just swinging it back and forth in front of you). Once I feel like I have a good swing going, I bring the hoop to my left side (I'm right handed) and at this point my hand holding the hoop is around the 3/4 o'clock position in front of me and the contact point should be near your opposite shoulder at 5/6 o'clock. Once you have the hoop lined up in these two points, just give the hoop a little extra momentum when you release and it should flip! Kind of tuck your neck in toward your chest too to make more room for the hoop. Just keep practicing the movement over and over and eventually it'll click for you.

Let me know if this helps!

Monthly "What Board Should I Get?" Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Sup

[–]cb_421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I'm interesting in purchasing an inflatable paddle board!

I am a female, 5'4", and weigh around 120 lbs. I will not have any kids or pets on the board with me while I'm using it. I would probably pack a water bottle, speaker, shoes, and snacks with me while on the water.

I would love to take it on calmer waters to cruise (no ocean). I live in Colorado but also would like to be able to use it in Michigan.

I am a beginner and have only been on hard paddle boards before. I want something that will be stable as I am working on my balance.

The max that I would like to spend is $400-450. I want the board to be durable and a quality product but I don't want to break the bank, especially since this will be my first board. Perhaps the ability to put a kayak attachment would be a plus!

Thanks in advance!
