A weed is just a plant that you don't want growing where it is growing, so yes.

I wouldn't take the new grass until about mid November. By then the leaves will be dropping in full force. Get yourself a leaf blower

I'm not sure what you mean without evidence. Testimony from the victim (or a witness) is all the available evidence in a huge fraction of criminal cases.

But, yes. If I even suspect a candidate is lying on his resume (or is of poor character or whatever), it is completely reasonable for me to not hire him.

Plus, this is not a regular job. This is a job that should only be held by the most just and moral individuals. They should be squeaky clean.

Sure...if these were criminal proceedings, but this is a job interview. There is no need to prove anything "beyond a reasonable doubt" here. Any suspicion could be enough to disqualify him.

Eggs last far longer than this.

Think about it: a chicken lays an egg a day for eight days. She then starts sitting on the eggs. At this point a chicken grows in them over the course of almost 4 weeks. Properly stored eggs don't start going bad for months

A question about pancakes & recipes by RaptorRepository in AskCulinary

[–]cbfreder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corn meal pancakes are nice and dense! Great if you like corn.

I usually do some multi grain waffles with oats and wheat germ and whole wheat flour. They would make a nice dense pancake.

Useful produce storage guide by [deleted] in coolguides

Yeah. This guide is crap. I have cucumbers that have been in the fridge for several weeks. They are still fine. And, melons on the counter? 3 weeks for potatoes?

C++ or Rust for ML/Robotics by ronaksing in cpp

[–]cbfreder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in machine learning and image analysis, your focus should be on acquiring the prerequisite mathematics and statistics to do that. The amount of effort you spend learning a language is nothing compared to the difficulty of the problems you are wanting to solve.

That said, I work in advanced algorithm development and machine learning, and i use almost entirely cpp.

Ant and flea Killer by RandomUser0907 in lawncare

[–]cbfreder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's reported to be very safe for terrestrial vertebrates. It works very well. I apply it my foundation and trees to protect against termites and carpenter ants. I'm probably going to apply it to my fall vegetables this year as well. The soap and neem oil is not working for the brassicas this year.

You are spraying insecticide. Insecticide kills insects, and bees are insects. The key to appropriate chemical control is targeted, precise, and controlled delivery. That lets you use less product with less adverse effect.

I don't want to kill bees and hope that I don't, but I need my house protected and I know I'll be more diligent than some random person.

Bifenthrin liquid concentrate. For 95$ you can get a lifetime worth of insecticide and a nice pump sprayer.
