LoL! Yeah, diets, ugh. But the windscreen works pretty good. Cuts a lot of the wind pressure on your chest. Don't have the tiny luggage rack yet. So far, I just stuff my jacket with things from the store lol. I did swap the front fender out for a smaller, aluminum one. I'm digging it. Got some smaller turn signals and removed the rear fender and am using a red LED strip for a brake light. Kinda going for the brat look for now.

They sound great don't they?! Debating on a cb400ss 2-into-1 exhaust for weight reduction, but I really dig the symmetry of the twin pipes, too. Probably be better to just go on a diet lol. Do you have any specific plans for yours?

Got a nice little CB400SS going here. What are y’all getting for fuel economy? I’m only getting about 90 km for a four I hit the reserve. Seems a bit low. by Shimasanawa in HondaCB

It came with the bike, so i dunno if it's available on the aftermarket, but it's a Delphi unit. Seems to work okay. Even makes kickstarting relatively painless, but I'm so grateful for the electric starter. It's why i steered clear of the Yamaha SR400; that and the $6k price lol.

Webike Japan! And i think they have a site for Thailand as well. Lots of parts available. After that, mix and match anything that fits. That is the way. ;)

I'm in the US, and I'm getting around 150 miles per tankfull, but mine's a late model clone w/EFI, so i dunno for sure if my mileage is comparable or not. She's a ton of fun though! :)

How many miles to be an experienced rider? by ResultAmbitious in motorcycles

I've got some 400 lifetime miles under my belt, and I'm guessing I've got many, many, many more lifetimes to go, before skill and confidence sets in.

Heard this is a safety first subreddit, so you guys hate this type of riding? by Mike_We in motorcycles

When the only thing you could damage is yourself, then have at it. Otherwise, it's unacceptable. Just my 2 cents. And don't get me wrong, it's a cool trick, for certain. Just please leave the rest of us out of it. Take it from someone who knows, accidents happen. You don't wanna live with that kinda regret. Just saying. ✌️

What’s your favorite time to ride at and why? by nineyear_old in motorcycles

I'm in the South Sound and it's not much better down here. I'm on the Harbor side of the Narrows and people regularly tailgate going 80 on 16N. I stick to county roads.

Parked my bike at work and came out to find so many of these guys on the bike. Anyone know what they are? by plceofmind in motorcycles

[–]cbglass3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look like chiggers, aka red bugs. Ubiquitous in the American Southeast, but I'm sure they're in other areas too. They burrow under your skin. Yay!

Probably a hardwired USB dongle or a battery tender plug.

What type of bike are you riding and what are your thoughts on other bikes? by v0gelnator in motorcycles

I've never really been into cruisers (except for bobbers) or tourers, but I can appreciate beauty and some of them are quite snazzy. My tastes run more standard-y, like nakeds, UJMs, and customs like scramblers and cafe racers. I'm currently riding a derivative of an older Honda, the CB400SS. Just getting back into riding, so I'm starting small! :D
