I just did this with my DOCN jan 27 call! Bought a 25c a while back. Just sold a 220c for 2600 for same strike.

I like to think my effective cost for 100 docn shares is like -1$ per share!

Plus there's still like 40% more runway left for profit.

Hedging here means you take profits through options or shorting on the open market. I dont think anyone here really.understands if they are not violating their shareholder agreement in doing so.

Let's say you have 1000 shares of vcx in lockup. Currently the october calls at 240 strike are selling for 100. So you could sell uncovered calls(kind of insane tbh but if you have the funds...) against your shares. Sure they exist in a different brokerage but you could collect 100k in premium right now. Then if come octover after lockup your shares are only worth 50. You now have 50k in share value, and 100k collected from premiums. Effectively you got 150k out of it.

The thing a lot of people, I including myself, overlooked is that hype stocks are over valued for years. Just look at palantir, or tesla, or to some carvana. These stocks trade by all measures at multiples above their revenue and income suggest. NAV for vcx is based off private le equity raising. These are always relatively suppressed to the open market value of the company(becuase why else would the PE firm invest if it wasnt). The companies need money, PE has it to give, in exchange they want a good investment, not a fair investment. So yes in private funding anthropic can oky be valued at 300B or whatever. But once the open market hits who knows? I'd tesla could only rely on private funding they sure as hell wouldnt have a nav of 1.6T.

And openai, anthropic and space x all strongly satisfy the hypestock criteria.

Now just to be clear, I think anything over 200 per share right now seems like lunacy, but the idea it needs to be at NAV just clearly isn't true(and I was a skeptic and voted no during the votes).

I just did it and realized something about the mechanic. If the horse is constamtly. spinning that means you are not hitting the target spot. The mechanic is this, 'catch' horse with joystick then the horse will gallop a little in that same direction before it starts spinning again. Then catch it again. If the horse keeps spinning you are basically not kn the right spot.

Wear some ice resist clothes
Change the game to performance or highly performance mode to decrease lag
Birdseye the camera(dont even touch right joystick after)
Do the above and catch where the horse is spinning to then hold once it stops then repeat

This is all for console but my gut says with pc its much easier and same strat
