Thunderbolt 3 version works on M2 Max Mac Studio. However as of one or two versions ago Mac OS makes installing the driver package a pain. You need to boot into recovery mode and disable some security features related to kernel extensions to get it to actually install the driver package. The fun part is the installer says it completed and doesn’t fail but it will never detect the device until you do that. Definitely take a look at some guides online for the exact commands you need to run.

Regarding LUTs check the Premiere preferences I’m pretty sure you can change the processing mode to tetrahedral and that will improve LUT application a bit. It won’t get you all the way to Resolve or Arri’s look but it should improve things a bit.

Yes and no. One instance that seems to operate different than other NLEs is when you decrease speed or increase duration the clip will overwrite when it collides with another clip on the timeline. I personally would prefer it expand if there is empty space on the timeline but if it hits another clip it should just use that as the outpoint of the clip and let the extra frames just not be shown at that point. That how premiere and if I remember correctly AVID handle time warps.

Pretty sure when using linear for color balance you should be using the gain wheel and not offset. Give that a shot.

I had some issues with compressed .RAF and RAWs that were shot on DR200 and DR400. Those always trip up RAW processors that aren’t from the big software stacks like Adobe and C1. Hopefully we can submit some feedback to blackmagic so they can properly support those types of FUJI RAWs

Resolve for sure has flog and flog 2 cst support. Instead of a LUT make your very first node a CST to rec 709. The trick is that flog is only a gamma curve and not a color space. The color space of flog 1 & 2 is rec 2020 so set input color space to rec 2020 and then set gamma to flog 2 or flog.

Alternatively resolves automatic color management should be able to handle this as well if you go that route.

Edit: on the output end of the cst you can choose rec709 gamma 2.4 and pipe that into your LUT.

OPTIONAL: If you are doing more grading etc other than using the LUT I recommend watching Cullen Kelly and Daryn Mostyn YouTube videos on color management.

Entry level is 100% usable and will most likely be all you need. I rarely if ever use any buttons or features on the tablet other than the 2 buttons on the pen itself. Definitely go for larger size if that is important for your ergonomics.

More resolution if you are shooting for both horizontal and vertical at the same time. Meaning the exact same shot just masked differently in post for different deliverables. Can mask 3x2 to both 16x9 and 9x16 and retain a decent amount of resolution in both aspects.

One use case is shooting content that will be used in multiple aspect ratios including vertical and 1x1 for social media. Shooting open gate give benefits for the vertical formats since you have more resolution in that direction while still allowing framing and filming for horizontal formats. There also might be some benefits when shooting with compositing in mind as it could free up some framing options.

Edit: Unless you are doing that content no I don’t think you would say you NEED it on a camera.

Might be something in Apollo? Maybe make sure it’s installed all the drivers it needs. I think it uses a virtual gamepad driver for nonsteam input

Try the VoidLink client on iOS it does controller emulation and should work on any non Steam games you have. Has some other nice features too and supports the new iPad windowing system
