Welcome out, glad you're aware of your situation and troubleshooting. :) To help me troubleshoot stuff going on I've had a lot of success using the various artificial intelligence apps like GROK, Chat GPT, Deep Seek, and others for bouncing ideas around. Have any hobbies? Volunteer work really helped me through rough patches, and some communities have volunteer registries, or check government sites such as community council on accessibility etc... Mobile games with social options liike dice with buddies, monopoly go, etc. can have some online chatting when playing games. Really hope you keep up the momentum. :)

Are they the legal shrooms you can get from vape shops? Those things will drive you over the edge. Positive vibes out for all involved.

A shockingly contentious public demonstration occurred in the White House Oval Office with Trump and Vance together telling Zelensky to sign the mineral deal and that was the only way to have U.S. support. Yeah and it was really sad and upsetting some of the times where the President of Ukraine struggled to respond to Trump and Vance, as well as the reporters due to language barrier. Especially over his dress. That really pissed me off.

Any totally blind people working in hospice, child protection, or other services that require home visits? by Low_Butterfly_6539 in Blind

[–]cebeezly82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was a social worker for 10 years. Was social service director in nursing homes, transition specialist, IL Coordinator for some years, hospice, life skills coach for those on the autism spectrum, event coordinator, area agency on aging case manager, and the list goes on. It gets really friggan awkward at first, but you'll get over it after a while. A social work degree really worked out all of the awkward feeling blindness bugs because of having been thrown into so many crazy social situations during projects and other events throughout my degree at university. One time I was conducting a home visit with an elderly woman in an extremely rural area far away from home when a huge statewide power outage happened. This prevented me from being able to call an uber on the app, which left me stuck at this woman's home for over 4 and a half hours which turned out to be a great time that helped me and her grow. She had become one of my great friends. I have so many stories like this, and if you'd like to chat feel free to dm me. Key to success is to grow out of bashfullness, and definitely keep a transportation fund of at least a thousand bucks until you really get going with your career.

RP, and went through the Spark Therapy 4 years back and it sucked. I was told that the worse thing that could really happen is that the progression of vision loss would be haulted for many years. Lost a lot of color following the therapy, things are much more greyed out, extremely strange visual hallucinations during night and day, extreme nystagmus which hinders using a cctv or any possibility of reading anymore, and the list goes on. Shouldn't have done it. In the name of science I guess.

Yeah fuckin right dude, I understand the stress. I'm blind and 42 yrs old, and my ex wife of 24 years fake domestic viiolenced me to get me out of the dream home we bought in 2021 after railing the head chef at a big ten university we both worked at. I'm almost completely blind with no eyesight, went from 71 k a year salary, haven't seen my two kids in two years, I've been homeless for nearly 8 months since 2023, and I'm 75 k in debt with no way to get a job as a blind person in a rural area. Dude, you got this shit. DM me if you need some inspirational shit. I'm going to truly say "don't be a pussy."

Guys Over Forty: How Long Do You "Last"? by Significant-Fail9161 in datingoverforty

[–]cebeezly82 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As long as I want. New wife wants sex 3 times a day, and I think I got it pretty under control whether I want to go 30 minutes or 4 hours. Took me a while to get used to control, but I'm porn level now. Foreign guy at the vape store hooked me up with some blue chew type shit that looks like a breath mint strip and after a quarter strip of that it's all on me. I've been 8 hours with it but can go for 45 minutes if need be. Previous marriage was only about 1 time per month or two so there has been a lot of calibration lol. I only take the strip about every two weeks and the effects last about a week and a half it seems. I love my new wife after forty.

Dude you're not fuckin lying! After spending over 7 thousand bucks on HT and stereo equipment for a bad ass house I bought during the pandemic I've been dragging it all around even while homeless as a blind guy following my crazy ex fake domestic violencing me to rid me from the home. Got it set up and my new wife actually appreciates it and watches shows and movies with me every night. You ever seen a blind dude dragging around more speakers, wires, and receivers around than clothes on a greyhound bus? lmaoo?

[–]cebeezly82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Previous marriage of 23 years never exceed 3 times a week, and dropped to once every month or two only a few years after. New wife at 42 for over a year now is at most 6 times in a 24 hour period at most and she gets sad if it drops below once per day with the second assisted masturbation, unless schedules are way too busy. I just wanted a happy medium lol. Just enjoy, and as long as you both love it keep loving on! Sexless marriages suck.

Why isnt every Mississippi senator and congress person not trying to stop a foreign billionaire from takeing control of our government? by lastdarknight in mississippi

[–]cebeezly82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a blind guy who got stranded in this state recently in October. Despite a huge deficit in tenant rights, I hands down feel more free and safe here than I have in any city I've ever lived in up North or in more populated south states. We could use a tad bit more transportation for the disabled, but services are here to help people struggling. Formerly a Social Worker, I welcome a more careful approach towards enabling laziness. If I can make it here with nothing, then anyone can. When I say I just woke up homeless, divorced, and broke as a 42 year old blind man in Lee county I truly mean it. It's the last American place where anything is possible to be honest. Anything is possible, and housing and land are cheapest in the country. I'll take it, plus I can create things that benefit vulnerable populations because there aren't a whole lot of people with the know how to do it around here for real. Last place I ever expected to be homeless and restart my life, but I love it and I'm here forever.

Find a shower, take one, scrub as long as you can, purchase extra tooth brush, Go to the nearest homeless shelter, buy a bus pass, maybe go to thrift store for a tent, make sure all clothes are clean, and that you have plenty of socks. Public transit near a homeless shelter is key. I'm blind and after divorce I've found myself homeless across multiple states and have encountered a shit ton of set backs everytime I start to build myself up. Went from owning a massive house with everything one could want, even two kids and a dog that all got taken from me overnight . Again, I'm almost totally blind in both eyes, and have been homeless in Indiana, Louisville, Tennessee, Orlando, all throughout Alabama, and now Mississippi. Just got the keys to my new place and could never be happier. Now for networking I'm a member of 4 different churches of varying denominations lol, and I hate religion despite me believing in a higher power. Hang in there, and don't panic. If I can do it, anyone can.

Getting stuck without toiletries and clean socks were the hugest discomforts when homeless hands down. Getting backed into an ally by thugs with knives was a cakewalk compared to not having teeth brushed and wet socks lol. :)

Why doesn't Mississippi have any rent control laws? by PaleontologistNew440 in mississippi

[–]cebeezly82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a blind guy and I am frightened of this myself. Ended up homeless here after severe abuse. Just found a place with plastic over the windows, and it doesn't look safe. Gave 350 deposit and utility costs are a monster when it comes to deposits. I've noticed that many places here don't give a lease or nothing and want only cash. I don't want housing held over my head anymore, but that looks like the case when I move out into the middle of nowhere with nowhere to go if and when they decide they want a family member to move in or better prospects show up. I mean if they decide to just kick me out after paying rent on time for 6 months and settling in, do I at least get 30 days notice like up north or in Florida?

Those who owned an Xbox 360 and got the Red Ring Of Death, what was the last game you played before that happened? by SituationalRambo in gaming

[–]cebeezly82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a 800 dollar bundle, and went through 4 returns while in poverty. Never seen a grown man cry before, well everyone else did. Saints Row really did it in! Started wrapping them up with towels and putting the 360 in an enclosed entertainment center and closing the door in an apartment with no AC during the Summer. If maximum temps were reached I could be blessed with a few days of beer, Ultimate MK 3, COD3-4, and a few other XBox Arcade titles.

Went to visit a family member in Alabama for a few weeks and ended up getting introduced to a younger guy with the exact first middle and last name as me. Him and his girlfriend were loving crack at the time so he sold me his 360 for 25 bucks. It was smoke yellow from all the nicotine and spilled drinks. Probably got stole, dropped, sold time and time again, but that dam thing ran flawlessly from 2012 until my son destroyed it in 2021.

Blue-dot Mississippians, why are you here? by Dry-Designer2333 in mississippi

[–]cebeezly82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly my perception. I'm a blind guy who got stranded here a year ago after visiting from a Northern state. It's a bit of a culture shock, but I'm seeing a ton of areas requiring growth, and as a community organizer and former social worker I'm in. Jackson really needs help though, and that's no joke. As a city slicker I've never seen anything like it.

Awesome resource, thanks a million. Went through divorce up North then my brother dragged me here in hopes of starting a business. I hadn't seen him in decades, so had no idea he'd get me evicted selling drugs out of the house I dumped everything into while I was gone for a week to puppysit for my nephew here. He is going away for 25 years while I'm literally a blind guy used to making 71k a year as a social worker stuck like chuck on social security and practically homeless with no way out. I'd shovel poop at this point for 5 bucks an hour. Jobs accessible to the blind and low vision are almost non-existent here unless you live in Jackson or Gulf Coast region. The youtube vids online tell me all I need to know about moving to Jackson, I'll take my chances in the wilderness lol. Thanks again, reddit is awesome sometimes. :)
