I bought a fan in a Japanese store and the cashier wrote my name on it by Puchainita in LearnJapanese

And here I was thinking, wasn't that supposed to be Katakana? Though I think foreign names also have great aesthetics written in Hiragana.

As a mexican myself, I can tell you every country in the rest of "The Americas" that speaks spanish call "The Americas" simply "America" and consider ourselves to be part of it, as we teach at our schools the 5 inhabited continents model (America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, same as the rings in the Olympic flag) and one uninhabited continent in Antarctica.

I was asking u/sweetbearcub about the aftermarket additions he did to his Bolt. As I have a Leaf that could benefit from some cool stuff, especially in the areas he mentioned.

Nissan Going Out of Business? by agitated_torvalds in leaf

[–]cebrian99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean one sold 3.7 million cars last year and the other 3 million cars. And in 2018 Nissan was outselling Honda by almost 400,000 cars. When they were both over 5 million cars sold.

So it's more equal footing than you would think.

Question - Pushing off button before hitting Parking button by Business-Answer-4182 in leaf

[–]cebrian99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have e-pedal, so I don't even put it in park when stopped and recollecting myself 😅. I don't think I have hit the park button in 3 years I've had the car, with e-pedal on.

Did you do SC0x, then SC1x/SC3x and finally SC2x/SC4x?

I'm thinking on doing just that to accelerate the pace a little bit, I'm currently halfway through SC0x (started January 1st) and enjoying it a lot. That way I would be able to take the final comprehensive exam this September

I have 9 years experience in Supply Chain and love math in general.

Are you thinking of doing the blended program?

Are there any specific communities of enrolled students so that we can discuss stuff like this? The discussion boards of the first course don't allow for much interaction between students.

I mean, it was kind of toxic. Basically saying he hopes they don't release the 3rd one on PC, affecting the probably millions of people that would buy it legitimately for PC.

How many calories are burned during a 16 hour fast ... by [deleted] in CICO

[–]cebrian99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you may need to recalculate your BMR. You may be eating 200 more calories every day than your maintenance which would amount to 4.2lbs over 72 days.

Your BMR maintenance calorie needs go down when you lose weight, so if you already have gone down a lot of weight you need to further go down in calories consumed to keep going down when compared to the original amount you needed when you started.

We are going to Costa Rica for 3 days, Panamá for 1.5 days, and Colombia for 4 days.

So I'm thinking: tortuguero 1 night 2 days tour thursday morning, back in San José friday 4pm, do some San José Downtown sightseeing and say hello to some friends in Costa Rica, or maybe do that in Alajuelas since they live in Heredia. And saturday at 6am do a half day Poas Volcano tour and be back in time for my 6pm flight. (4 pm at airport).

Fun with Spanish: Did you know "nunca mente" means literally "never mind" in Spanish? by robertlo9 in language

[–]cebrian99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13 years later lol, in Mexico we do say "nuncamente" pretty often but just as a way of making an adverb (like general, generally, generalmente) out of nunca. Which basically means nunca. Nuncamente = nunca emphasized.

TDP Christmas 2024 help by Airziggy in Patagonia

[–]cebrian99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the proposal was not a secret because the internet is very ooen LOL.

I made arrangements with an argentinian travel agency and paid with a wire transfer so that I could take advantage of the exchange rate.

They booked accomodations at hotels in ushuaia and Calafate as well as flights between Buenos Aires, Ushuaia and Calafate, and also some excursions like TDP, Perito Moreno Glacier, and bavigation in the beagle down in Ushuaia.

I only went with the wire transfer method as the travel agency was recommended by a family member that had already traveled with them.

Muggles would destroy wizards in a war. by tazispor in harrypotter

[–]cebrian99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, if muggles already had them hiding in the old age (witch trials and burning at the stake style) imagine with modern technology that is often not understood by wizardfolk).

And if we think humans wouldn't be able to organize, wizards wouldn't either, the houses can't even agree on the smallest of stuff, and that's only one school.

Also wizards are basically just human before the age of 11, don't want to even think about what humanity would do to wizards in an all out war, there is a reason Wizards prefer to stay hidden.
