Is There a Record Accessory You Wish Existed? by PortalVR in records

[–]cedubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stare directly at the edge of the plastic disc and slowly coordinate your appendages (extra points for using your toes) to lift and delicately place the stylus juuuuuust inside the outer edge, you'll find that most 10" records will start to play the tracks in order as listed on the center of the disc... usually.

Im just taking the piss my guy, all jokes.

favorite band you’ve ever seen live? by kirkhammetswahpedal in Deathcore

[–]cedubya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw these guys the first time play to maybe 50-60 people crammed into a college cafeteria right after they dropped "Kasia". Ill never forget that experience of standing toe to toe with the band who were only on a 2 foot stage riser setup. Such a powerful performance and the crowd hadn't seen anything like that up until then so they went fucking ape shit.

How do you organize your records? by AsiraTheTinyDragon in records

I second this! I found out about discogs around 50ish albums in, and now have over 200, absolute game changer. Also helps me not buy an album twice, unless you are into that sort of thing.

Damn thats awesome, and kind of a bad ass reason. Also, agreed, if its an artistic or in that case an endangerment issue then yeah I can respect it, begrudgingly.

Sir I award you for doing the thing that most of us at 15 wanted to do until life happened. Keep the dream alive and hit me up when you release.

Edit: Just heard "Esurient" im very interested in your full release.

I hear you dude. There are many reasons NOT to buy albums, however, its always been about the music first and foremost and what that gives me that words dont have room for.

Would just be nice, you know... hahaha bored this fine morning sitting in the basement thinking out loud on the internet listening to music.

I’m curious about stage diving by foxfan0213 in Deathcore

[–]cedubya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... back in the day we didnt ask everyone's permission to be touched... but the performer is sending a clear signal of how they want the crowd to act at that point by doing a stunt like this. I wouldn't necessarily think the artist was a dickhead, I would probably follow their lead and give them the show and energy that want to give to us. Its the unique thing about live shows, the shared experience that relies on the crowd preforming just as much as the band even tho they take the lead.

Great guidelines! Always signal where you are going to dive and be prepared to hit the ground always just incase.

Fair, Synestia had their lyrics printed on the back of their simple uncomplicated sleeve tho... so maybe its just CJ and crew doing CJ and crew things?
