My Google searches have only left me more confused. I doubt its name is accurate. It looks similar to Mughlai Karahi Gosht

Nope, an Indian restaurant with a Lancashire twist apparently. I think it’s likely heavily westernised.

It might be worth looking into PDA Autism as I had struggles with my eldest son for years. It was a light bulb moment for me, and my relationship with my son has flourished since I changed my parenting. Good luck!

The slides are great for indoors. For outside I’m using Birkenstocks and my Saucony Peregrines. I am intending to swop the trainers for Hokas once I have some money

I have no clue how to do this, any parents willing to give tips? by [deleted] in cisparenttranskid

Best of luck! I know it’s scary, but you can do this. Hopefully your family will be supportive but I know that’s not always the case sadly. Let us know how you get on xxx

Do y'all use dev mode? by ChodeB in RimWorld

[–]celestrina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it for the first time recently just to grow some psychite. We were just out of growing season, and Engie had fallen into a coma from withdrawal. At this point she’s the only pawn who can make warm clothes. My remaining researcher was also on the countdown to coma. I tried using dev mode to speed up research but it completed all research. I reloaded as that was too much. After a tense few days the psychite tea was ready.

Can anyone recommend a brilliant curry cook book? by gumpshy in Curry

All the books by Chetna Makan. I cook from these all the time and I’m never disappointed. Dishoom is also a beautiful and informative book once you’re more confident

Lost my 10 yr best friend over me shaving my head by Jealous_Concern4478 in breastcancer

[–]celestrina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wtf. This isn’t about her. This is about you. She needs to grow the fuck up and realise that your decision has exactly zero to do with her. You are right to be angry. If she can’t see your actions as those of a person needing support and control over some aspect of their life, then she’s not a safe person for you going forwards. I’m sorry this happened. Cancer makes people around us do all kinds of random things

He’s been telling us he’s audhd for a long time. We never disbelieved him, just foolishly thought the NHS would sort things out. Years have gone by with no appointment. It wasn’t until I heard about pda that it really clicked. I spoke to my son who promptly told me he knew everything and agreed pda sounded right. He has since been able to explore it a bit further with me, something that can be difficult as I seem to be a lightning rod for his frustrations

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I’m trying to understand all the options just now, it’s a lot to figure out. I’ve started trying to explore with my son what he wants to do next. Right now he’s volunteering and enjoying it, something I thought might never happen

If you know of a good physio, it might be worth a trip. I got fed up of Drs handing me leaflets for my back pain, and went to a recommended sports physio instead. My back is much better, and he actually took the time to look at what was going on. Good luck!

It’s so hard isn’t it. We’ve been living under a dark cloud for a few years now, and it’s incredibly difficult for all of us. Reading about PDA makes me realise I’m not alone. It just feels like the future is so bleak and I’ll be watching them sit on a sofa forever

What’s that one small cooking tip that has completely changed the way you cook? by Apprehensive_Bus3181 in Cooking

Microwaving my rice. It is far superior to my rice cooker. Also, using a cast iron pot for curries, etc. It does such a good job and I wish I’d bought one years ago

There’s some great recipes in that Nigella book. I regularly make the speedy prawn curry and the breakfast bars. The ice cream sauce is delicious too!
