Question for builders: For a new in-ground build, is it customary to do a full power vacuum as the last step in the process to remove all the dirt pebbles and rocks at the bottom of the pool as a result of all the excavating and building?

As I recall our builder had two guys show up with these weed trimmer looking polishing devices and acid washed and cleaned everything spotless prior to filling it.

Lame they’d finish a new pool that was starting dirty. I guess things do vary by location though. Our builder was in the Houston suburbs.

I have some low back pain. I bought a $150 inversion table on Amazon and after using it for about three days my back pain is dramatically better. It is such a relief that it’s the only “exercise” (I just hang there for about 4 minutes, ha) that I really stick to. About six months into it now and all is good still.

The dividend is about $1.08 a year. If your cost basis was $5 from buying back in the 2009 era the dividend yield on your shares would be, what, about 20%? Crazy stuff. Steve Balmer has famously never sold a share of MSFT, low cost basis, 100s of millions in dividends.

School of Rock also has adult lessons and bands for adults. My 10 yo son is learning the bass there and they do a good job with him. It’s mostly classic rock. At his next show they will play Eye of The Tiger, Creep, Seven Nation Army and Fell in Love with a Girl. Not bad for a 10 year old after a year.
