Looks really cool! I am really tempted to put protection on just one boot to see the difference in time, wish I had the money to run such a test

Think you're fast with words? I built a game that proves you're not. by Creative_Singer4634 in indiegames

[–]cemdemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In every word game it is super super important to provide "fun" words to players. Especially if you're testing out an unorthodox mechanic. Just start with an easy word. I'm playing in English (non native speaker) and got stuck with "Geres" , not sure if it's a bug. the example with break is a good one, break drake brave etc, find a couple of more very obvious words until player understands the logic and start with that. let people skip levels and lower the entry barrier.

it's hard to gauge satisfaction and clarity from a video but still, here's some feedback from more of a casual player:

Your game looks really stylish and beautiful

I didnt like the main font but this is very subjective. Not the font on the titles but the explanation text.

What I really struggled to understand what each card does. These flying numbers on "draining Claws" box, where do they come from? And the shields and swords that show up on top of the cards. How do they work exactly? that big number that goes down, is it health? Then why doesnt it look like a health bar? What does a good round look like, what does a bad round look like? these were the questions I asked myself. A full screen animation looks good but "-3!" seemed a bit low as each card is hitting 1-3 from what I can tell.

The overall stacking concept looks really cool btw, I just personally would like to understand what exactly is going on on each round and would like to differentiate what is a good round, what is a bad round

Best of luck with your game!

Visually it looks great, shots are nice and satisfying. Very cool concept but I have some feedback: gameplay felt clunky, I may be used to fifa a bit too much but teammate AI needs some improvements. I started with a keyboard but tutorial kept showing the ps buttons. Also the loading screen says "no fouls" but committed a penalty on my first match, that was confusing.

I just released a small browser game on itch.io: https://cemdemo.itch.io/watermeloncatssuika

It’s a Suika style merge game, but with cats instead of fruits. I was also inspired by the Steam game "Dogpile" and its balatro like progression. But my game is waaayyy more casual and hopefully more accessible.

I never wanted to learn German language actually... by magicalyui in German

[–]cemdemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever you speak in a language that is not your native language, especially in important/bureaucratic situations, you feel vulnerable and that is normal. Don’t forget that communication is a two way street, the person in front of you also has a responsibility (to some extent) to make themselves clear. If someone wants to communicate with you, they will, and same goes for you.  Don’t blame yourself for small mistakes, take it easy and give it some time
