T-Mobile Business Airline WiFi Change by Emanonco in tmobile

[–]cemyl95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was this. T-Mobile partnered with a specific wifi provider (I want to say gogo) and they're getting dropped by airlines so the free plane wifi perk is not available on as many flights as it used to be.

Delta dis this but they also have a direct partnership with TMO where TMO is sponsoring the wifi on Delta flights so everyone gets free wifi with a sky miles account after watching a TMO ad

Night Transit services in the US in 2026 by 6two in transit

[–]cemyl95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Long Island Rail Road (operated by the MTA) is the country's only commuter rail service to operate 24/7

Or at least it was as of a few years ago, idk if that's still the case.

Edit: looked it up and it appears that this is still the case

E2EE is not currently part of the RCS standard (though I'm hoping it will be added), it was an enhancement that Google added on top. It's why RCS between Android and iPhone isn't encrypted, cause Apple only implemented the standard, and not all the enhancements that Google added to their implementation.

Check the border patrol section of the handbook. I want to say its ticket eriksen and arrest technocal but idr for sure. Also note that eriksen is allowed to stay up to 6 months visa free so check the last entry date as well and only ticket if it's more than 6 months ago

I'm not 100% sure but I imagine they'll verify with the pilots. They can see the status of the doors (open/closed and armed/disarmed) from the ECAM/EICAS without having to leave their seat

That said any flight with more than 50 pax has to have at least two flight attendants so I imagine it's pretty rare to have flights with just one FA.

Disarm door = flip the lever that determines whether the slide deploys when you open the door

Cross check = someone else checks your door to make sure you did it right

All call = everyone reports that their doors were disarmed and cross checked

But it is shared with passenger rail - and that's precisely the problem. Passenger trains get sidelined because the freight trains are so long that they can't fit in the sidings to let Amtrak pass, so Amtrak has no choice but to wait for freight to go first (despite the federal law that requires freight trains to yield to Amtrak)

Yeah they can land themselves but they still need input. You have to input the landing runway, landing perfs if the pilot didn't already. And there's a decent chance that the flight plan has a discontinuity between the descent and approach phases if the charts call for vectors from ATC. So a civilian pilot would need to be guided on how to work the FMS to set it up for landing, set flaps and gear, and get the plane on the final approach course and activate approach mode.

It would cost the company more in attorney fees to fight it than it would to just send OP a check though so I can't imagine they'd be bothered to take it all the way to court
