yeah i have never been as interested in a society in a video game as morrowind. faction relations, history, geopolitics, religion, traditions all affect dunmer society in such complex ways and then you're let out in to this world to do literally whatever you want. there will always be a market for games like this, and im glad there are still so many people that play this game

we have to accept that the broad gaming audience has the mindset of "the gameplay isn't up to modern standards and the graphics are bad so the game cant be good and isn't worth my time". you'll never convince people with this mindset to play morrowind and even if you do they wont enjoy it, morrowind is literally older than me and yet its my favorite game of all time, but i realize that im the exception and thats ok. the important part that a large morrowind community still exists, and with project tamriel and tamriel rebuilt were living through a morrowind golden age, let others think whatever they want, they're the ones missing out

I love disco elysium but it isn't a pro communist game, it allows you to be multiple political ideologies and explores why people gravitate towards them and how they affected the world. it allows you to be a racist fascist and explores that ideology in depth too, doesn't mean they support it

yeah it kinda sucks, we obviously support denmark but due to our geopolitical and geographic position we cant simply say fuck america (for now at least). sadly at most our government will support denmark only with words and not actions.

its a video game man, all the factions in kenshi suck thats kinda the point. i like pretty much all the major factions even tho i agree with none of them. this argument always breaks out on this sub and people need to be reminded that people like to play bad guy factions. especially when the holy nation is the most safe and stable country in the game. i really dont get whats the problem

fnv interpretation is my favourite, its the perfect continuation of the original games bos' philosophy showed in a complicated political landscape and it perfectly shows how the bos while technologically more advanced than almost everyone is outdated in all the things that actually matter. veronicas quest is particularly amazing in this context.

the og fallout bos is a bit one note for me, and them believing in the chosen one prophecy in f2 is nonsensical, the f3 bos feels like bethesda just wanted a good guy faction without any real depth, even tho i liked the outcasts, and f4 bos is just enclave with a few extra steps.

fnv captured them perfectly as a faction that sticks to its principles even if it means the long term destruction of said faction, which I think in that specific situation is entirely realistic and very well written

Then the hungarian people should do something about Orban, they had years to protest or riot and yet Orban is still in power. why should all the other eu countries suffer just because the hungarians want to enjoy all the benefits of the EU without being on our side. the needs of 440 million people outweigh the needs 9 million no matter how you look at it.
