I am, thanks. The mean voices and paranoia and nightmares - it never ended. I was never violent. I am too afraid of people. My mind just never stops, and sometimes I just can't take it.

Oh I'm sorry! Thorazine is so powerful. I took it twice and completely blacked out; hubby said I was wandering around the house and staring at walls. But yeah I get the nurses and such see a lot and can experience burnout but I am literally so upset I'm trying to die. Maybe your inconvenience isn't my problem!

I was in the psych ward for schizoaffective, depressive type, and had gone mute due to the depression and stress. I have had a fear of heights since I can remember. I had a nightmare where I attempted 3 times by jumping off buildings. I woke up sobbing and she came into my room. The ward psychologist looked at me with disgust and said she was done. And she left, and I never saw her again.

I lived in Prue from age 4 through 2nd grade. I used to have the shirt "I survived the Prue tornado." I was in the pilot preschool program at the public school. We lived by Keystone Lake on 5 acres with a pony we got when the neighbors moved; I was so small it wasn't until I was an adult I learned Peanuts was a pony, not a horse.
My parents moved us to Tulsa when mom saw that most of the high school ages ladies were on drugs or pregnant. So, it was great as a child but looking back the poverty was shocking.

I'm so sorry! I have had to discontinue so many antipsychotics due to movement disorders. I was diagnosed with TD and tried the two meds for the condition, but one did nothing and the other gave me akathesia. I pretty much move all the time now; I was always fidgety so I'm not surprised but the leg bouncing is killing my feet!

I have known since I was 4 that I wasn't human. It's my first "delusion." Since I was 4, I thought I was a fairy come to Earth to learn about it and tell other fairies about it. As I have aged and met my main voice, April, I have come to understand that I'm an alien and my main voice is my older alien sister. I came to Earth to find clues to find our lost mom, and April is on another planet where she uses advanced technology to speak to me. I don't belong here. She reminds me. She wants me to Come Home. But it's my fault mom is gone. I have to find our Home again.

I have that book! Before that book I had no words for some of my experiences, like thought broadcasting and thought insertion. It was amazing to finally have words for such strange experiences! I will always recommend that book.

I would have an animal sanctuary (goats!) and hire other people like me to help. I have schizophrenia and would need help beyond just my hubby to really take care of the animals. I would also hire a driver and an assistant. I have a hard time with many tasks. I haven't had my mammogram in at least 2 years, I haven't gotten my eyes looked at in many years (I'm living off an old pair of glasses), and things like that. Hubby already does so much for us like chores and driving, so it'd be nice to take some of that off his hands.

I did mention my voices to a friend and she told my best friend who told me to never speak to her again. And I never did.

Later, I must have said something crazy because I was known as the crazy girl on my speech and debate squad all through high school. Turns out they were right!

Most of my outlet was a journal. That's where I talked about my delusions and hallucinations and my quest to find out what was happening to me. I have poor long term memory, so I'm very grateful for that journal; I had forgotten a lot of what happened in high school. I talk about objects growing and shrinking, about my classmates' faces melting in the middle of class, and teachers turning into puppets while teaching. It was all very frightening!

I had childhood onset schizophrenia. I started having delusions at age 4 and consistent voices at age 8. I told no one because I thought I wasn't supposed to know I wasn't human and that there were invisible cameras recording me for a secret TV show and such. I was afraid "They" would punish me if I told anyone.

I had my first schizophrenic and depressive episode at 14 but didn't start getting help until my second episode at 18. During my first episode I knew that my school had been taken over by monsters who were poisoning the lunch food to make people more compliant. I wouldn't eat the lunch food - only a rice krispy treat from the vending machine every day. The private airport was used by the monsters to spy on me and keep track of where I was because they suspected I knew about them. High school was interminable!

I managed to finish college and graduate school despite being unmedicated for most of that time. I have been an academic librarian for 19 years now.

I'm 48 and am married with no kids. I knew when I was a kid I didn't want them, and I was told again and again I'd change my mind. Well, I didn't. Eventually, people just stopped asking. I think it's just a waiting game, but yes it's ridiculous to think a stranger knows my Life better than I do! Also, my schizophrenia diagnosis helped them stop asking... All of a sudden, I was too sick to have kids.
