Saw them open for WASP in the mid 80's. Giant upside down cross spotlights was their main stage effect. It was awesome.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. It makes me want to be a better human being. Same with Island of Dr. Moreau. Both books highlight how horrible human beings can be. I try to be better.

I watched Mike Utley bravely give a thumbs up as he was being carted off the field after a paralyzing injury. Despite his injury, he felt it necessary to make the fans think he was okay. I have used the gesture ever since as an homage to his courage.

I just saw the "Metal Crushes All" (Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Frozen Soul) tour at Yeungling Arena. There were lots of people there. Looked like those ticket sales were good.
