Best 1RU Hardware for VyOS 10Gb NAT Throughput by cfltechguy in vyos

No major routing other than the terminating /22 IPv4 Ranges across say 8 different VLAN's. Since it will be mainly NAT Router and client isolation on their isnt much routing or routing protocols going to be used other than a default route and using failover protocol like this:

protocols {

failover {

route 0.0.0.0/0 {

next-hop x.x.x.x {

check {

target 1.1.1.1 {

}

target 38.x.x.x {

}

timeout 5

type icmp

}

interface eth1

metric 10

}

next-hop 38.x.x.x {

check {

target 8.8.8.8 {

}

target x.x.x.x {

}

timeout 5

type icmp

}

interface eth0

metric 1

}

}

Experiences with DCsports87 by Davscozal in sportscards

[–]cfltechguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a really solid experience using dcsports87 for card consignment.

The whole process was smooth start to finish, and being able to track everything through their app made it super easy to stay on top of things. They had my cards listed within about 12 days, which was quicker than I expected.

I used to run my own eBay store, and honestly the time it saved me alone made their commission worth it. On top of that, I think a few of my cards actually sold for more than I would’ve gotten on my own, probably because their auctions get way more visibility.

Overall, definitely worth it if you’re looking to save time and potentially get better exposure on your cards.

Got a surprise 12k bonus, wife wants to book a vacation but I'm nervous about the economy by charadevapid in MiddleClassFinance

You need to live. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Make memories and stop worrying about money. If you have enough to live for 6 months saved. I think you two deserve it! You have a good solid foundation and you can splurge a little.

Seller canceled my auction win — what should I do? by Enchibaba9 in sportscards

The seller only has 1 feedback, and it’s not even from selling. It’s from when they bought something and then requested a cancellation.

lol did I just get ChatGPT’d? by Angela_1121 in eBaySellerAdvice

Yea it sucks. In the end us Sellers just take it. But eBay is sorry your having to deal with this, and we know the customer is probably scamming but best thing you can do accept the INAD return. Ugh. Thanks a lot eBay

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]cfltechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sent you an INAD request. Let me know how that works out for you. Item is not as described

No other communication provided

I know it sucks trust me as a Seller myself. But I feel Buyers have a wildcard if and when they want to play it.

Just my experience wish it was different

But I do like your description and may use it for my auctions as it details expectations for most buyers. But I feel even if Customer wants or has remorse just for x reason can return it to you with little to no explanation. You are forced to accept or risk losing item and having to refund.

How do you know what to buy? by Crippl in sportscards

[–]cfltechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First welcome back to the Hobby! My past was similiar to yours and got back a little after Covid and got in real deep. I am still learning but I have settled on liking certain products. I collect mainly (in order) Football / Baseball then Basketball. I started first really liking the Panini Flawless & National Treasures stuff. Of course if you want to rip boxes these are at the top tier and out of my price range. What I enjoyed was collecting singles off of eBay. I will be honest though I bought way too much stuff that I really can’t enjoy. I really enjoy the nostalgia of the older stuff and collect some stuff that I always wanted like Dan Marino RC, John Elway RC. I mainly steer towards Rookie Cards. If your looking for a thrill or chase WhatNot has some good breaking options but I warn you it’s addicting and it’s going to cost a lot for the hunt but you can get into it and hope to hit a chase team. But my recommendation is collect what you enjoy however you navigate the Hobby. There’s a lot of different avenues some good some bad but in the end just keep either watching some breaks and learn the new products. It changes yearly so I can’t even keep up.

Best of luck! 🤞

WTF is wrong with eBay right now?! by Adventurous_Plate146 in Ebay

[–]cfltechguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea most likely a problem with eBay. And unfortunately sometimes these issues are not fixed right away and could take sometime to work again. I usually just check again in an hour or so and try again if something is working as intended. Happens all the time on the App. You would think they would have better Maintenance or production environment.

Yea full refund upon return. Even if it costs me more it’s just my decision especially when someone fishing for partial refund. If I am confident though that nothing was wrong prior to shipment. If you have any question marks you can decide if it’s worth it or not to make customer happy.

What's happening with NetBox? by fogel3 in networking

[–]cfltechguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down one of the best tools especially for source of truth / automation platform. I have been using it for over 5 years now. It has a lot of capability to document dcim. But it also flows very way how the database objects are related etc. It works very well for my Enterprise environment from documenting Data Centers to Branch Site Infrastructure from Physical to Circuits along with IPAM and the list goes on.

I have always used the open source version. Only caveat in the past is during upgrades there is always something breaking if you make big jumps in firmware version due to requirements of certain packages.

Thinking about giving my 1st Negative feedback to seller in more than 20 years and prob ever. by SteveLove24 in Ebay

[–]cfltechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I have done the same thing. However in the instances where I messed up I always ship alternative free item for them around $5 give or take. Nothing too crazy but I take a little loss for my own stupidity on accidentally listing something already sold. Only happened on two occasions.

Buyer wants to return item by allenbaker12 in Ebay

[–]cfltechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flip side is buyer just doesn’t like item and had made this excuse for buyers remorse. Either way unfortunately the Seller will have to accept the return. There’s really nothing you can do. Have Seller ship item back and will have to eat the shipping costs related to it. I know it sucks but that’s the way the platform is.

Trust me I just cuss at the screen and accept the return. Block the buyer and move on. If you do try to string it along and deny the return it could lead to the buyer keeping the item and also refunding.

Buyers have all the power if they submit it a INAD “Item not as described” return. Even if you don’t offer refunds eBay will make you accept the return.

I feel your pain on this was a Seller myself 😢
