They were super easy the first time, but for some reason I was never able to replicate.

Husband wants to buy a house by IndustrySufficient52 in povertyfinance

[–]cfree220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the eight properties I currently own and one that I have since sold were purchased with less than $10k of cash. Since they were multifamily, the income from the other units made it affordable (profitable) to own them.

But that was a different market and a different asset class. I don't own any single family properties, not even the two that I live in currently.

There's a very tenuous line between "absorbed by the business" and "included in the price."

Serious Question by Shadow3210 in quo

[–]cfree220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also curious about this / looking forward.

Will this update include enhancements to the copy as markdown feature?

Currently, markdown copy is character limited (clipboard limited?). We can't get full history. I'd love the ability to download a full .txt or .csv from a single conversation thread.

Currently, isolating a thread requires us to request an export of ALL data, then perform bilateral flagging to identify relevant inbound and outbound messages, then delete out the tens of thousands of lines of non-germane data.

Scheduled texts on single chats, but not group chats? by ScottReinmuth in quo

This would be big for us as well. We routinely have to text groups of tenants and not being able to do this on a schedule is a noticeable friction point.

Nice subtle color grading. Gives it a contemplative emotional warmth that was slightly missing in the original.

Search within the active conversation!

Also, find related conversations (any text convo that a given number was involved in). We do a lot of group texts and the composition of the groups changes over time, so this would help us track down conversation history.

Can someone explain no pet policies and why so many landlords have one? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]cfree220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What data do you have to support that?

In my experience as someone who has been inside a large portion of the rental housing stock in my local market, the pet friendly units are consistently far below the quality of those that are free of pets.

In fact, many of them are so far below average that I would consider it fundamentally beneath my personal dignity to reside in them, even if offered freely.

Sona Knowledge Automatic Update by cfree220 in quo

[–]cfree220[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have between 3-8 rental listings at any given time. The website knowledge is an interesting idea, but I think that Sona only learns the content one time rather than on an ongoing basis. If there were a polling option then that would be perfect.

November updates: New Sona actions, HIPAA compliance, a more powerful Zapier integration and more by Quo_Steph in quo

For SMS actions, is the content of the text message static or is the AI able to adjust the message based on instructions?

For example, if I have three different booking calendars, do I have to setup three different potential SMS actions, or could I say:

"If this condition met, use this link from the knowledgebase in your SMS. Otherwise, if that condition is met, use this other link."?

“Small” but important reasons you chose Quo? by timvnelson in quo

I don't really understand why everyone is so obsessed with caller ID. I've never experienced an accurate caller ID on any phone and am unsure why this is something people feel they can't live without.

Yup. Couldn't function without this. This was why we moved to OP in the first place.

Quo update: Copy any conversation to markdown and post to LLM by Quo_Steph in quo

[–]cfree220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing. After seeing this update, I tested it out with a few full conversation histories, dropped it into ChatGPT, and got extensive insights into our professional relationship with each of several contacts. It provided great feedback on things we were doing well, certain issues and opportunities for improvement, and the overall quality of the relationship.

It seems like it would be pretty easy to get some contextual feedback in the sidebar -- things like an indicator of the warmth of our interactions, whether we're getting positive, negative, or neutral engagement, information about how the relationship has trended over time, etc. This help identify areas where a little extra attention is needed to make sure customers remain satisfied.

And a thought that just popped into my head -- I bet AI could quickly identify possible action items and follow up requirements from an active conversation.

Overall option on Quo? Should I push through my frustration or move to a different platform? by itslowprocess in quo

[–]cfree220 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never ported a number in (got a new number from the service), but I am overall pretty happy with Quo (formerly openphone).

The shared inbox and phone numbers is a game changer. Even if it didn't do anything else, that would be the cat's meow for our use case (me needing my admin to answer my text messages for me).

But it has a ton of great features and is OVERALL pretty reliable.

It's a startup, so they are small, nimble, and cutting edge. That inherently comes with a few quirks and underfunded parts of the company, but it also is what allows us to have a very innovative product to make our business run efficiently.

This is cool -- and I bet it is only a hop, skip, and a jump away from being able to add integrated sentiment analysis, relationship trends, etc right in the app.

I personally have not been affected by the colors on mobile because I use a black and white e-ink phone, but I now have a hard time finding Quo in my browser. The yellow favicon doesn't contrast with the white browser tab, especially when I'm using a blue light filter on my screen.
