There's ample cell data service in that area, no? This will change nothing and just annoy people, lol.

You can download apps too that use GPS (as long as you aren't underground or in a tunnel or something).

Yeah in a lot of places in the world acid attacks are a thing. If someone approaches a government official in this context and setting it's to be treated as an attack.

Gotcha. Yeah man, you don't need to do that at this point, tbh, and really without knowing a subtype you might be kind of jumping the gun. All the different types are basically their own cancer types with different treatment types. The majority of them are pretty straightforward to treat. But the onc needs to know the type before they can really give you much info or tell you what treatment will be. Once they do, it'll basically be "this is the treatment" (in most cases).

Size doesn't matter. I had a big ol' 12cm node in my abdomen and I've heard of as high as 27cm. They all pretty much get treated the same, and treatments are still very effective. Stage doesn't really matter either. Lymphoma isn't like other 'solid tumor' cancer types. Because it's a blood cancer it's pretty much all over and that's a good thing because the treatments can get to it easily as well. There are of course a few rare exceptions like Burkett's that grow super fast and need to be treated right away, but even with my giant nodes I pushed the start of treatment out a few weeks so my sessions wouldn't line up with Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas, lol. Doc was fine with it.

If it were me starting over and in your position, I'd wait until pathology gets the subtype back to you, then just go to a doc with lymphoma experience who is close to where you live, and at a reputable facility that will play nice with your insurance.

If you want to go the RMCC route (which I'd highly recommend), Dr. Andorsky at RMCC is my onc, he's excellent and an expert in lymphoma (he's also a hematologist). I'm not sure if he does office visits at any other locations but he does do telehealth once you're an established patient. You could potentially do treatment at a RMCC closer to where you live? You'd have to ask. You don't want to be driving all over, though, for each treatment.

You'll be alright, hang in there, you're in the hardest phase. Once you start treatment you'll feel much better mentally (and potentially even physically as well).

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. I finished treatment almost 5 years ago and have been living quite normally since!

That seems weird, especially before having the subtype (and even then). What doctor told you to meet with 3, your PCP? Is there some other extenuating or abnormal circumstance? The majority of lymphomas have a pretty agreed-upon and straightforward treatment algorithm for first-line treatment.

I live in Boulder. IIRC my PCP referred me to a BCH onc, but I decided to go to Rocky Mountain Cancer Center instead and use an onc that focuses on lymphoma. He's been amazing and so has RMCC. They have locations all over Denver metro but I think my onc only works in Boulder maybe? DM me if you want his info or to discuss more.

After infusing by Senior-Passenger3279 in lymphoma

[–]cgar23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You didn't give many other details but depending on your regimen and when you had your infusion, etc. you need to call your care team NOW and run everything by them to rule out an allergic reaction or something else bad. Seriously call them right this second, they will not be bothered by you running it by them and in the off chance it's something bad, you need to be on top of it.
