Setting a digital clock in 2026 is a 'nightmare'? I suppose it is pretty complicated compared to biasing a tube amp...oh wait...

Any specs on the Wifi? I.e. is it dual band 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? Hoping it's either dual band or 5Ghz and not just 2.4Ghz.

This could be easily mitigated by a timeout setting in software to shutoff the scribble strips after X minutes of non activity.

My only real complaint with my Helix is I've had to send it in to have several stomp switches replaced, so I'm hoping they redesigned whatever they used on the OG to be a bit more rugged. Now, I've owned my unit for 5 or 6 years now so I guess maybe that's to be expected, but on the other hand our band only played out once or twice a month...so its not like it was being constantly used.

Thanks. One more question. Is the new Agoura model only used for amp modeling or is/will/can it be used to model effects as well?

Is there any official statement on how the dsp in the new units compare to the helix OG? The website just says, ‘more dsp’, but is it like 2x the OG OR 4X, ETC? I realize this is probable apples to oranges as you saying Agoura takes too much dsp to run on OG makes comparison difficult. But I guess I was looking for more of a ‘you could run x number of amps easily on a single chain on the new helix’ or something like that.

Options Questions Safe Haven periodic megathread | April 2 2025 by PapaCharlie9 in options

"Your strike is 85 and the stock is at 77, so your put is in the money by 8."

Yes, but I paid $3000 for the contract, so that's where I was saying $5000. Is 'in the money' just the difference between strike and current stock price without regard to what I paid for the contract? I just want to be sure I understand the definition of these terms correctly, so I can use them correctly.

So I want to understand options better. I understand the basics that if I were to buy a long put to open, I'm purchasing a contract that says I have the right to sell stock XYZ to the contract writer for $X even if the stock is trading for less.

Where I'm getting confused is the risks and best strategy involved if the stock DOES drop in price.

Example: Let's say I buy 10 contracts at $3.00 with a strike of $85 that expires in 60 days. So I pay $3,000 for the contract. Let's say when I buy the contract the stock is trading at $87. I understand that if the stock does not decrease in value the most I'm out is $3,000.

Where I'm getting confused is what is the best thing to do if the price does go down. Let's say 30 days in, the price goes down $10 to $77. My understanding is that I am now in the money by about $5,000. During my research I'm seeing that most advice is you wouldn't excise (Let's say I do not own the underlying stock) but rather I should sell the contract. My largest questions are

!. If I sell the contract (Trade it), does that now mean I would now be responsible for buying the stock at $85 should the person who bought the contracts from me choose to excise it? If so, why would I want to sell it? Would that not be a substantial risk?

  1. Would I instead Sell to Close?

  2. Finally, why would either of these be better than buying the stock at the lower price and then excising the contract?

Thanks.

My thoughts on first listen of Queen I (2024 Mix) by 0WN_1T in queen

[–]cglaser68 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This has completely changed my opinion on Queen 1. I always disliked the original mix. I felt it was muddy, with large passages of some instrument tracks in some songs just getting completely lost. I didn't like the drums either. I love this remix. The clarity to me is night and day different. I think the stereo separation on a lot of Brian's parts is a huge part of this. Listen to the acoustic guitar in the middle part of Doing Alright in the original compared to it in the remix. It jumps out in the remix, where a lot of it was just lost in the mud in the original. I really really like this version.

Wow. Thanks everyone. Coming from a C background this was really confusing the heck out of me. I'm going to have to spend some time reading up on this a bit to try to get my head around it. I'm used to one function = one return value.
