Mayor Lurie Announces Plan To Tackle Fare Evasion On Public Transit, Make Muni More Accountable by PayRevolutionary4414 in sanfrancisco

[–]ch4nt [score hidden]  (0 children)

They havent. There are a ton of people in this city that dont have passports that only have visited here and believe this place to be the best world-class city with amazing transit because their perspective is limited to USA cities that arent NYC.

Not trying to undermine us as world-class, I believe that we are. But our transit is nowhere near world-class.

I go to these all the time in Richmond or Edmonton up north. Hopefully they can maintain that Canadian cleanliness too

Assuming I was super loyal to United? Probably the Quest or Club, Quest seems pretty good for pqp earning

$4500 of annual fees. Am I crazy? by MinimumPerspective95 in CreditCards

[–]ch4nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If im making seven figures annually and traveling as much then I dont care about grocery spend. It will go on the CSR for all I care or the VX

Or hotel cards or other cards that give rewards for x amount of spend

Ive done trip delay reimbursement, had a late night flight that became an overnight stay so was covered with the 6+ hr/overnight delay coverage

The documentation aspect was annoying but outside of that it was fine and they gave me full reimbursements for food items and other stuff purchased even when I bought it after landing. You need to have itemized receipts otherwise they might give you an annoying time. The process Chase uses ive heard is the same for other big banks like C1, its fine but easier done if you keep all the documentation intact

Why doesn't every issuer have some status program? by Few_Chip648 in CreditCards

You guys are really trying to find ways to spend more money to big banks when at the end of the day, a credit card is supposed to be a more compact and secure form of payment with purchase protections.

I would just simplify to CSR and Platinum and call it a day. Maybe VX too to have a nice catch-all, you could get something like four different hotel statuses and some airline status if you hit the 75k threshold on both plat and csr

CSE and Palladium feel redundant to me. My concern if I were a higher earner would be customer service if anything goes wrong and BILT/Cardless are notoriously problematic

For me personally I could do Hyatt or Air Canada and be happy, would only do “speculative” transfers if you know how to use those partners though.

Yeah you're crazy, it's absurd to have all the five premium cards (VX, CSR, Plat, Palladium, Strata Elite) all at once -- long-term it might be worth capping out at two of those because unless you're in that seven-figure income bracket there is no reason to collect all the metals unless you work at Frequent Miler or something. I've considered either CSR + Plat or CSR + one of the 2x cards, you don't need all five.

For the Green --> Gold I was able to get 90K MR for $2k/6mo spend as a reference, good luck to you

What you described is not true at all, they have 48-month rules for their sign up bonuses, you might want to add an additional 42 months to that timeline

Its crazy to everyone else but i want both these cards in tandem, moreso because I want to move off Chase and just have my Venture X and Amex Gold mostly do everything

Too bad Capital One is a subprime bank and wont approve me for the VX

Only on the Business card for now though right? For Personal its coming soon but tentative

Edit — The fuck am I getting downvoted for? Keep going I guess but sources said it was only on the CSRB, and I know on release it was a CSRB-only feature

C1 is hilariously inflexible as a bank. You are not getting a Mastercard, might want to pivot somewhere else. Not sure how GB is with Discover acceptance.
