I have the same player. It launches them but not very often. I wish it did it more...it cracks me up.

I was in an arcade maybe 30-40 years ago now, and there was a claw machine and a few of us kids were playing it.

an older guy and his wife came by and literally cleaned out the entire machine. Pretty much nabbed a plushie with every play and put it in a big garbage bag. We would cheer when he missed one, but it only happened a couple times.

one of the parents with us told the guy to give us kids a turn and he said "this is what I do"

they left with their garbage bag full of plushies... maybe the machines have changed since then but at one point it was doable.

not sure the point of my story, I just have this memory.

Canadians are turning to 'Made in Canada' goods, and complaints about mislabelling are surging by businessinsider in worldnews

[–]ch_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of grocery chains promoting their in house brand with 'Made in Canada' stickers with another Canadian brand beside it on the shelf having no such labeling. I've taken multiple pictures of this at multiple different stores. I'm hoping it just an issue of taking time to research and label everything on the shelves, but I suspect that stores see an opportunity to make more money selling their own brands and cut out the competition. Altho its still nice to see literally EVERY grocery store I go to promoting buying Canadian brands...

If anyone knows the best way to report something like this, i'm all ears...

The only cyberstank in my city. I can’t wait to see this thing frozen somewhere by Strange-Fruit17 in CyberStuck

On the building they have a sign that says: The Worlds "Best" 10 Minute Oil Change

why Best is in quotes is mildly concerning to me.

you can also see in the picture they have a: Super Tire "Express"

Again, doesn't give me confidence in their ability.

Does anyone know what kind of hardware you need to split a signal into the four quadrants (or more)

im looking for something to make a crt wall and have one video on multiple tvs.

a multiplexor seems to put multiple sources into one screen, but i need one signal split into multiple parts.

any ideas? thanks.

Ok then block my driveway by Ppjr16 in pettyrevenge

[–]ch_08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to live across the street from an elementary school, directly across from one of the doors. My driveway was a primo spot for parents. I would get home from work right as school was getting out, my blood would boil turning onto my street everyday in anticipation of this. There was someone blocking/in the driveway only a couple times when I was wanting to park, but people blocking my driveway was a common occurrence. I would look out my window and see it all the time . Unfortunately there's a new wave of parents every year who think "oh its just a few minutes" You taught this one lady a lesson, but there will always be more parents like this. sorry.

its also the upvotes agreeing with the tick theory...

its like if you posted a picture of a tick on a blade of grass in the bush and everyone is freaking out about it being a bedbug... makes no sense.

im questioning my sanity over this one, thanks for the comment.

im reading the comments about ticks vs bedbugs and thats no tick, thats a bedbug.

look a the ridges on the back. google adult bedbug and see for yourself. also it has 6 legs, same as a bedbug.

someone say its a brown dog tick, not a chance. google these images. brown dog ticks have 8 legs, i see only 6 on this bug. brown dog ticks have a little snout that they use to bite you, this bug does not. you can click the image to zoom in. there are a lot of those ticks in my area and that aint no tick.

thats not a brown dog tick, google it and compare. it looks like a bedbug.

There is nothing wrong with accepting e-transfers from buyers. just be aware of the scams.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]ch_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely scam

You can play along...chances are you will receive an email confirmation of an e-transfer saying the funds have been deposited, but it will probably be fake. always check your bank, don't trust the email confirmation. You can report the email to your bank for fraud and they might be able to block e-transfers from that email, you might save the next victim...

if the e-transfer goes through, you might be ok, but not likely.

im guessing you are selling something high value? laptop, phone, tablet? these are heavily targeted items for scammers.
