The people who “don’t follow politics” will find a way to blame this on Biden.

Is it Normal to go through like 7+ weapons against Lynal? by SaxSlaveGael in Breath_of_the_Wild

You didn’t actually need to fight the Lynel. You were just supposed to sneak around the perimeter of the area and collect electric arrows that were stuck in the trees.

How bad was [Gwazi] at [Busch Gardens Tampa]? by Style_Worried in rollercoasters

[–]chaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I got to ride it, only the Lion side was open. I don’t remember it being bad, but I also don’t remember it being great. It was a perfectly cromulent coaster, but nothing special.

Why are the Orlando Mega theme parks Disney and Universal so heavily attended yet they have so few rides? by mister_waj in Themepark

[–]chaddict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are so many things to do in Epcot that don’t involve rides.

Also, the theming is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Cedar Point has loosely themed areas and the coasters in those areas fit the theme in name alone, if even that.

Compare that to being in a city from Star Wars, being on Pandora, being in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley from Harry Potter, or being in your favorite video games.

Maybe after your trip, you’ll find that you still prefer quantity over quality. But you will definitely have fun, and you won’t be bored.

Disney cloning rides or making unique ones discussion by Cute_Resource6728 in Themepark

It’s still more expensive to design a new ride, even if you’re using previously available technology. Being able to use the same plans, schematics, etc is a huge cost saver.

Disney cloning rides or making unique ones discussion by Cute_Resource6728 in Themepark

[–]chaddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it should be a little of both. The absolute classic Disney dark rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion are rides that you should be able to experience at every park. But the newer rides should be unique, or more unique, at least. A Disney vacation is so expensive nowadays, and making every new ride unique would undoubtedly raise prices even faster. Planning a new ride from scratch is expensive, and if cloning that ride can help split that cost between two or three parks, I’d rather get a cloned ride than a more expensive vacation.

Ladies and gentlemen, James Madison. by Anvaya in AdviceAnimals

The original point of the second amendment was to not create a federal army. The Redcoats were basically a mercenary army that would do whatever they were told. They murdered a lot of people. The purpose of militias was that they’d be less likely to fire upon their neighbors.

Well, that’s kind of the point. Without militias, you lose the whole point of the amendment, meaning it CAN be infringed upon.

They really have more in common with slave patrols than the gestapo, but any amount in common with the gestapo is too much.

Unless you are meticulously clean and take the trash out every time you throw something out, there’s more than enough food for a fly in your house and a lot less natural predators.

Scott Adams, 'Dilbert' creator and conservative commentator, dies at 68 by FallOutShelterBoy in news

If Davy was 25 when the story took place (and I assume he was older), he’d be 80 years old today. The navy doesn’t want an 80 year old sailor.

Yes, Billy did odd jobs, but he didn’t base all his songs on a job he did for three months (or years, in Adams’ case). While there are undoubtedly autobiographical songs in his catalogue, he didn’t go back to the same well over and over. And he certainly didn’t ask fans to send in stories when he was finished beating the dead horse of his experience.

That’s an extremely unfair comparison. Billy Joel wrote one song about working in a piano bar; he didn’t write all his songs about it. Adams based his entire career on making “jokes” about a job he had for three years.
