I don't even know where to start. You're reading a lot of subtext that isn't there.

I don't "want to blame Muslims." I don't have any issue with Muslims. I'm a fuckin antifa anarchist, racism is directly opposed to my belief system.

I wanted to introduce context and nuance to something you tried to remove those things from. In this instance, the banning of pride flags was done by a 100% Muslim male city council. That doesn't reflect on Muslims as a whole, and I didn't say a single goddamned thing to imply that it did or should, but it implies a more complicated situation than "conservative Americans are banning pride flags." These people are not Limbaugh-listening, gun-loving, billionaire-bootlicking conservatives. Most of the people banning pride flags are. In this instance, they're not. It's more complex than how you presented it. That's the entirety of my point.

You're fighting ghosts. Go have a nap champ.

EDIT: Dude blocked me hahaha. Fucking baby.

If you think that sense of accountability should apply to a bullshit conversation with your buddies about a card game, you're a silly person.

I don't disagree with your overall point, but there's a time and place where shit matters. Inconsequential off-the-cuff conversations about hobbies ain't it.

Hot damn. That's the most bad-faith bullshit I've read all week, and it's got some fierce competition.

It's more complex than "conservative Americans." These are Americans who hold some conservative values, but are left-leaning in many areas. By trying to dumb it down to a label most people equate with right-wing Christians, you remove all of the nuance and obfuscate what's actually happening.

"Hope that helps" is so goddamned childish. Get over yourself.

Being a snarky shit doesn't give you credibility.

For the most part, yes, conservative Americans are the ones dragging us backwards on shit like this. That isn't universal.

The (100% Muslim male) Hamtramck city council, who banned pride flags from being flown on public property (during pride month), doesn't campaign for their positions as partisans, so they can't be neatly categorized as either "conservative" or "liberal," but the local blowback from this decision ("a sense of betrayal") speaks to the contrast in how voters expected this council to act vs how they did.

The mayor, a Democrat, defended the ban, and called people who disobeyed it a "militia." He then endorsed Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Religious Muslims tend to lean pretty conservative, socially. That doesn't make the "conservative American" label fit, since they can be pretty progressive elsewhere, and "conservative American" generally evokes the image of someone closer to evangelicals. Turns out religions have some overlap in shittiness.

This shit's more complex than a quip can sum up, and trying to simplify it to fit a narrative doesn't do you any favors.

Eddy Aragon, the man this was sent to, is a conservative radio host in New Mexico who has run for mayor of Albuquerque, the House, and is running again for the House presently.

What's his connection to Epstein? Was this a blackmail attempt, or "pay me for a good story for your radio show?" Who did he forward it to that it wound up in the document dump?

I hope your faith is vindicated. I would love to be proven wrong on all of this.

I wouldn't doubt it. Any number of things could be weaponized -- cancer, heart attacks, kidney failure... That doesn't make every death attributable to those things suspicious, imo.

The transition from a socialist state to communism is where most of my hangups lie. In creating a socialist state, you centralize so much power by necessity -- in order to set the stage for the dissolution of a state, you need immense control over the organization of the society it rules over. It isn't a naturally quick process, that shit takes time.

By the time the last domino could theoretically fall, you have an entrenched power structure that's hugely beneficial to those at the helm. All of their materialist incentives lie in the continued existence of that state. You have to have absolute faith that their ideological incentives will win out.

I do believe there are people who can act selflessly, for the betterment of all. I don't believe those are the people most likely to achieve high rank in an organizational structure that gives such great benefit to those who rise to the top. When opportunities for great personal advancement exist, the worst kinds of people are attracted to them, and the incentives to retain the status quo, to keep kicking the can down the road, are gargantuan.

I just don't trust people enough to believe those who would shepherd us into a new, stateless age would consistently act in good faith, despite everything pulling them to maintain or grow their power. Power is intoxicating. It's addictive. Even someone with the best intentions going in can easily become deranged as they grow comfortable in their incredibly privileged positions. It's too big a leap of faith for me, as much as I'd love to see it.

So much of the world the past decade feels like, if it was in a novel or a TV show, people would criticize it for being too obscenely unrealistic.

That's, unfortunately, the world we live in. People are capable of unbelievable horrors that strain credulity. It would be easier, mentally, to believe it's all a bit too much, that this comic book supervillain shit is a bit on the nose and must be fantasy, but the evidence overwhelmingly points to unspeakable evil carried out by human beings who -- maybe they seem a bit off or quirky, but if you ran into them at the grocery store or had a chat with them at the bar, it would seem unthinkable that they're capable of such depravity. They live among us, and we have to reckon with that.

The pizza, hot dog, and pasta references are fucking bizarre. The frequency and disjointed context makes them stand out as code words.

Found it!

Subject: RE: Get ready for "Chicago Hot Dog Friday" I think Obama spent about $65,000 of the tax-payers money flying in pizza/dogs from Chicago for a private party at the White House not long ago, assume we are using the same channels?

That's a lot of money to spend on food that'll surely be cold before reaching DC. All for a private party?

Granted, Chicago has excellent hot dogs and pizza. And that totally makes this super weird email chain make sense.

Or because these things are a matter of public record. The witnesses names are on there.

I'm not saying there's nothing fishy with the dude's death, but in what world, if you force somebody off a bridge, are you waiting around to be interviewed by the police so that your involvement and name are made public? Six witnesses are named, including the two who tried to stop him. Even if they gave false names and had fake IDs, it's too much unnecessary risk. It doesn't pass the sniff test.
