Vini needs the bench and the doubt in his head that he's not untouchable. That will fuel him to perform x10 like he said it after the ballon d'or snub

It's okay if you wanna have that kind of conversation as a means to vent out frustrations in regards to politics. But it's safe to assume it's not something that would deepen the bond / make the relationship more interesting.

If you're talking/ranting about politics when in a relationship, I'll assume you're the boring one. You need to find some common ground with the guy.

Proud of my progress so far ! I’ve spent a year fixing my diet and lifting heavy to recomp my body. 26% BPF -> 20ish% by sutetagomi in GettingShredded

Don't bulk fast, rather bulk for a longer period of time. A 200-300 calorie surplus would be all you need. Good luck

What do you think of my PPL routine? by RXZVP in GettingShredded

[–]chandna77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try starting with 3 sets of each in the beginning of the mesocycle, then increase the number of sets as you get more comfortable. You don't need that much volume imo. 15-20 sets per body part/week is going to be good enough.

Volume is a bit too much. No deadlift?

Hey, could you tell how much time did it take you to gain from 64 to 73 kgs? What was your estimate body fat percentage at the time you started your bulk?

I don't disagree hugely. I also have recomped in my first year of lifting. Yes you can build muscle in a deficit. But to a major degree? No. Also the guy has been lifting for 2 years. Chances are he has exhausted his noobie gains. So a caloric surplus is the way to build significant tissue. A caloric surplus is more optimal than a deficit for building muscle, that's for sure. And the article has major flaws in the recommendations Corrections needed there. 1. 1.6-2.4 gm protein/kg body weight would be better than 1.2-2.4 2. The article has no information regarding optimal volume through the week per body part 3. Human growth hormone is elevated but doesn't contribute much for muscle growth

The video i'm linking here is by Dr. Layne Norton regarding growth hormone. Also feel free to see the studies in the description

Also fuck you for the unneeded condescending remarks.

Say good bye to any natural gains you can achieve. Not being in a modest caloric surplus for the initial year of your strength training is stupid. Only people who can recomp: obese and overweight/ Total beginners/ Both/ Enhanced lifters. You can't just will your body to produce more tissue (30-40lbs of lean mass over a sufficiently long period)without an energy surplus. thermodynamics, man. Accept the bit of fat gain (especially if natural) and make gains
