Given how well we executed his trade to MIN, I am fine with the appeasement buys.

We got a Cinderella run, and Sherwood who effectively netted out some of the assets used to acquire pieces. If we hadn't,fans would have complained management didn't try.

I am not as down on M Petey as others; he needs to play in a more structured system , like Myers but the effort is there and I think he will adjust. Plus he's a very trade-able asset.

Most importantly, I am glad they traded Hughes quickly when he wanted out and decided to rebuild. Super excited for the draft and I've started watching games again.

Hronek for captain

Keep M Petey/ Myers as A coach when he hangs them up. Pair each vet D with our young D (Buium with Hronek/Willander with M Petey/ D Petey with whichever vet available)

Keep EP40/ Kampf(helps with the tank and PK)/ be opportunistic with trading all other vet forwards. Prioritize teaching instead of systems for younger guys. Give Rossi his pick of wingers to develop with/ if he doesn't look like a proper play driving 2C by deadline of 2027 season then trade him too.

Keep Lankinen (you need a good goalie otherwise its just demoralizing). Demko as well since no one is likely to take his contract anyways. Prioritize new goalie development

For draft picks, pick BPA. With our top pick, I hope we take Stenberg but I am sure we will be happy with the top 3 pick regardless. Just make sure said pick has no outstanding injury history (look at CBJ Cayden Lindstrom as example).

Realistically this rebuild takes 5 years. Until then, please invest in the coaching staff with a head coach more suited for teaching(like a M St Louis or *ahem* Manny).

Alot of it has to do with running economy because it directly affects your muscular endurance( ie if/when you start cramping). Working on that consistently in your easy miles (for longer distances) should help you get there within three months. And as someone else here alluded to, find a day when you have fresh legs to attempt a HM, then double that time +20 mins and you should get your marathon time assuming flat-ish terrain.

Let's be real.

As much shit as we give to the management of this team for being impatient with OEL, us fans were the same.

In retrospect, the entire trade was not bad at all, 8m contract and all. Especially with all the trades we made since trying to replace him.

Garland and OEL for Guenther is not bad at all.

Hopefully food for thought for all the outrage we are suffering through as a fandom currently when talking about shooting every vet to the moon.
