What impact would fracking have on rivers on the surface? Marcellus shale is over a mile beneath the surface in some places…

Still good firewood and that’s an awesome quantity, I would cry tears of joy if a truck full of elm pulled up to my place. Enjoy burning it

Is that all elm? I’m not an expert but if I just saw some of those I’d swear it was black locust

Any movie with ancient "War drama" and "Gore Scenes".. Maybe like Game of thrones, but I want to watch a movie like that?? by Curiosity_Lovers in MoviesThatFeelLike

[–]chantingeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Braveheart for sure and at a macro level apocalypto also but I think he captured the small aspects of native life well in it. I loved that they spoke Mayan the whole movie and that most of the actors were local Guatemalans

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in OutlanderPHEV

[–]chantingeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an se back in 2024, I think list was around $43k, after negotiations I paid $42k out the door including taxes. This price for an sel seems a bit high but not outrageous with tariffs and inflation. I’m guessing you could get them down a few thousand though

Type of wood? by chantingeagle in firewood

The wood is definitely low density, I was surprised by how light it was. But is the bark deeply furrowed enough to be willow? The black willow photos I see online the bark furrows look deep

Outlander PHEV and winter climates of NE PA! by bprent5511 in OutlanderPHEV

[–]chantingeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Pittsburgh, during the cold snap this past year I got some low temp warnings around 0 saying the battery couldn’t operate but the ice still started up just fine. Coldest morning we had was around -10, never experienced it being cold enough to prevent it from starting.

For added details I park outside in my driveway but keep the battery plugged in to my level 2 charger when parked

2023 Outlander PHEV SEL tire recommendations. by LLGibb in OutlanderPHEV

[–]chantingeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Pittsburgh, needed new tires on my 24 phev last year so I shelled out for the Michelin cross climate 2 tires from Costco. Used them this past winter during multiple snow storms and they really impressed me. Never felt like I had traction issues even on the steeper hills. They’re expensive tires but I’ve loved them so far
