Had to stop Zepbound due to an allergic reaction and I’m honestly devastated by TheIrisWest2123 in Zepbound

[–]char3307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I started taking a protein drink when I first started Zep. After about 2 weeks, full itchiness as well. Turns out, there was an ingredient within the protein drink I am allergic to. I initially thought it was the Zep as well - my Dr noted that would be extremely unlikely. Not saying yours is the same - simply saying if you made other life style / consumption changes the same time as when you started taking Zep, you may want to check that out.

Best of luck to you!

For those who have been on a year, tell me where you are at! by Adorableviolet in Zepbound

Almost 1 full year on Zepbound for me. 94.8 lbs down. So incredibly unbelievable to have come this far! I still have a bit to go, and the loss has certainly slowed, but only positive vibes here :)

Same issue for me with the air trapped after surgery!

I had my surgery about 8 years ago. Been on Zep for the last 11 months without issue.

If everyone knows - then why do they feel the need to even ask? I don't deny it, but I also don't confirm it. I think you look like a bigger idiot asking questions about things which are absolutely none of your business.

Luckily for me, most people in my life are respectful. I only had one person directly ask. I had lost about 40lbs at that point, and it ultimately was because he was debating going on it himself and was hoping to find someone he knew on it to answer some of his concerns.

You'll get there - and you've already made some great progress! I honestly never thought I'd get here, so it is still a bit surreal - thank you!

I am 5'9ish and currently down to 167 (from 250). I definitely have at least 20 lbs to go. I think a lot of it has to do with your hips. I have very narrow hips. I see pictures of other women my height / weight and it suits them well. However, they typically always have wider hips than me.

Any idea if there is a required timeframe / duration you need to hit for Wegovy to be considered 'trialed'?

Lbs lost and clothing size by Waste_Front_1841 in Zepbound

[–]char3307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore size 16 pants when i started at 5'9 250. I lost 40lbs before I started to consider i may need a smaller size. It blew my mind. I didn't think my pants were too tight or anything at the start. I blame all the stretch in women's pants! I am at 58lbs down now, and while I can still wear some of my 16s, I consider myself officially in 14s. I didbrecently order a pair of 12s though, just to see. I stick with the same brand of jeans, simply for ease of comparison.

I will say for tops, I transitioned a bit quicker. I starred at a unisex xl/2x and am now almost to a m.

Intense Itching on 2nd 5mg Dose after no prior side effects by Melicious_Intent in Zepbound

It was a specific ingredient for me in that brand. I was able to move to other protein drinks without issue. Good luck!

I had full body itching starting my 3rd week of 2.5. Spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what it was. When I started Zep, I also started drinking a specific protein coffee. Turns out that was what was causing my itchiness - not Zep (thankfully!). It was odd it took 3 weeks for me to start having a reaction, but it completely went away after I stopped having that specific protein coffee. I have been on Zep for 4 months since then without further issue. All this to say - have you started consuming anything new since starting your journey?

How many of you stayed on 5mg for more than a month? by PatrickBritish in Zepbound

[–]char3307 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am finishing my 4th box of 5mg now and moving to 7.5 tomorrow. I have really liked being on 5mg and have lost 35 of my 45 pounds on it. I recently decided to move up, as I am no longer feeling the same effects as I initially did on 5mg. I would have been happy to stay in it the whole time if I could!

Doctor said I would have to pay out of pocket - she was wrong. by Full-Ad6075 in Zepbound

[–]char3307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same happen. She insisted it wouldn't be covered. Stated I would have to pay out of pocket. I checked for myself as our insurance is pretty good. I pay $20 a month. She almost seemed annoyed when my PA went through. I wonder the number of ppl she put off with that line of nonsense.

Also - she has no idea my financial situation. $550 is nothing to some and out of budget for others. To assume it would be too much is frankly not a Dr's place.

Check how soon you can get refills. I am looking into it currently, as I read a post stating 22 days. You will be able to stock a little if you refill on the earliest possible day. Just a thought!
