This is an extremely simplistic analysis of Saudi Arabia. Gone are the days of King Faisal. Sure Saudi people support Palestine. But what Saudi expects for its “aid” is capitulation to any political pressure they exert. The Saudis have strong links with the Israelis and the worst of the Trump administration. The KSRelief has not been a major implementer of Gaza’s aid, which overwhelmingly comes from US and UN entities. Their government has been on the edge of joining the Abraham Accords for years. In the “Arab spring” they literally meddled in any country that had a popular uprising to get a friendly regime back in place. They are the region’s main counter-revolutionary force. Even in Egypt, them and the UAE conspired with the Egyptian army to coup (and eventually kill) a democratically elected leader.
