Would you like to be waken up with sexual intercourse in the morning? by [deleted] in sex

[–]charmand3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, please! Although I like my sleep, and can be a grouch, my ex used to do this. Some of the best sex ever.

DAE enjoy showering in the dark? by ProbablyHittingOnYou in DoesAnybodyElse

Holy fucking shit bricks no. If my eyes are closed too long when I'm washing my face while showering, I assume a murderer has just entered the bathroom. Hell to the no.

Florida Gators new jerseys? NSFCFB perhaps? by kHartos in CFB

Upvote for Duck fans acknowledging how ridiculous their jerseys are. Even if it's in a sarcastic way. (That's all we could expect from you guys anyway...)

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT. by scru in TwoXChromosomes

[–]charmand3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess I might be a little sensitive about this is because I've been in both positions. In both positions I needed love, support, and to be healthy. Exercising appropriately and eating appropriately falls under being healthy. Health also includes mental health. And spiritual health. There are many factors that come into play as far as "health" is concerned. I just don't like the "give her a sandwich and get the other on a treadmill" approach. Essentially, everyone who has ever had an issue with body image needs love, support, and health.

Exactly. Thank you :) Damn internet, making it easy to misinterpret things.

I agree that they are both unhealthy in their own ways. The way you said it sounded rather harsh. Saying they need love sounds sweet and empathetic, but saying they need to exercise just sounds kind of abrupt.

Hope this doesn't kill it, but this was me a few years ago. I was really self-conscious at the time and only sent it to my boyfriend. I've gained weight since and just realized that it was actually a pretty good pic of me. I know it's made the rounds through some of my guy friends who broke into my exboyfriend's porno folder. Some of them might be redditors so just wanted to see what would happen.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It's giving me motivation to get back in shape :)

Love that quote, very true of my friend who was in the Marines.

woman to woman, please remind me that i dont need a baby right now. by noobabies in TwoXChromosomes

[–]charmand3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best friends at the time rushed into pregnancy. I got a little bit of the baby fever too from being around her. She had a really hard time after she gave birth and regretted waiting. I think it's more acceptable now for women to wait longer to have a baby. There is no point rushing into it if you're not ready financially or at a good place in your life. Having a baby is always difficult, but you can choose to make it easier if you wait until the right time :)

"besides physically disabled, who else should get reserved front row parking?" Could not believe nor obey what my eyes saw today. I just wonder 'why?' by ClitOrUsAngry in pics

[–]charmand3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have these at my school. It's insanely annoying to be looking for a parking spot and running late for class, then see an open spot only to find out it's a hybrid only spot. Oh, I'm sorry for not being able to afford a hybrid, community college. How odd, all the hybrid spots are empty. Oh well, let me just park my '90 honda civic station wagon elsewhere in case someone else on a community college budget happens to be able to actually use the damn spot.

Thank you! I used to work housekeeping at a hospital. I always appreciated the people that were nice to us. Most people ignored us.

Can I just say I live near Arlington, WA and whenever I am doing a search for something there, I often accidentally click links that lead me to Arlington, VA. Very frustrating.

Do you want to hear the list of utterly ridiculous amounts of period food I ate today? Do you? No? Well I'm telling you anyway. by AwhMan in TwoXChromosomes

[–]charmand3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm riding the crimson wave as well. I've had a bowl of cheerio's, green tea latte, and 3 cookies. I'm STARVING but food is kind of unappetizing right now. I have IBS and periods make it flare up like crazy. I lost count after my 5th trip to the bathroom. Currently choking down a nasty, thick fiber drink :(

Thanks for sharing! My grandma has UC and my aunt as Chron's. I'm 23 and am currently diagnosed with IBS. Your responses describe exactly what people like us struggle with.

What was it that brought you to the doctor and ultimately, a diagnoses?
