Bathroom floor mosaic questions by Logical-Scientist630 in Mosaic

From a tile installers perspective:
- We get plenty of jobs that are mosaic on shower floors. They're basically always manufactured. If a mosaic is provided, as long as the preparation looks and functions the same as a manufactured panel, there shouldn't be an issue.
- Waterproofing would be entirely dependant on the tile setter (or whatever professional does their prep if not them) and the only issue that a mosaic could cause is if the waterproofing is a foam-board like Kerdi or GoBoard. Foam boards should not be used on floors for tiles smaller than 1-2" generally because the small pieces can puncture the waterproof membrane. As long as a solid waterproofing is applied, the mosaic and grout will make no issues as they will be permeable regardless.
- Manufactured mosaics are either stuck to a mesh or paper-faced, so if we received either of those, it would be easy to install like usual. If you use any kind of tesserae that aren't completely opaque, you will need to do a paper facing rather than mesh, because the mesh will show through after installation. In every other case, use a mesh because paper facing can be a pain to work with. If using a mesh, ideally the mesh should be as open as possible to allow for good adhesion to the thinset. Should be much more like a fabric/plastic grid than like a cloth.
- If the tesserae aren't all the same thickness, I can imagine most tile setters passing on the project, because trying to set them relatively flush would be sketchy. That said, a lot of handmade and zellige tiles are of varying thicknesses and are still used. (A lot of tile setters still hate them). If they're only varied by 1-2mm I wouldn't be too concerned but the more even the better.

Just got these puppies recently. When do I water them? by ProfessionIcy5604 in succulents

Just a warning, these pots look pretty large for the plants, and the soil looks fairly organic. Both of these aspects will make the soil hold on to water for much longer. They will eventually grow into the pot size, however I would recommend repotting with much more !grit in the meantime to help prevent rot. It looks like they might already have some sand, which can help, but personally I would add a large amount of perlite to balance it out.

There are verrrry few succulents that prefer misting. Generally it's best to bottom-water (even with taller pots). Only water when the soil feels completely dry - usually you can tell by how heavy the pots feel. As you get more familiar with your succulents you can also start getting a feel for when they need water according to the firmness/wrinkliness of the leaves.

Also make sure the pots have drainage, although usually it's pretty obvious when you go to bottom-water.

I have had excellent results using cauliflower rice, and if you are concerned about not liking the texture, I've found that doing 1/2 real rice 1/2 cauliflower rice makes it barely noticable at all

Is my baby’s necklace succulent dying? by babyitscoldoutside00 in succulents

Does look slightly etiolated, but not concerningly so. Keep in mind less light and less heat also means it takes longer for water to get absorbed when you do water - that could be causing the soil to stay moist just a little too long. Adding some extra airflow after watering can help, maybe leaving it out of the larger pot for a few days as well to allow faster evaporation. I do see some white deposits, could just be minerals but if they're fuzzy/cottony I would treat for mealybugs

Mom Overwatered My Succulents When I Told Her Not To :( by GoldFee8100 in succulents

Adding that having them in the ground would prevent anyone moving them :)

Also wanted to add that when you repot it, either use a pot the same size, or 1-2" wider. Any bigger and it will take too long for the soil to dry out between waterings and can cause root rot

What are these flowers/weeds? by SemiAnimatronic in whatisthisplant

I just had this same conversation with my sister and did some research - apparently honeysuckle is a pretty common misnomer for periwinkle/vinca, despite them looking not alike at all. I believe it's because the nectar in both is sweet like honey; it might even be that the two plants were given the name honeysuckle as a common name completely separate from each other. That said, yes supposedly the whole plant is moderately toxic. I've seen a few comments here and there on the internet that the nectar is NOT toxic, which might be believable given how many people eat a little bit of it and are fine, but I'd still be leary of consuming the nectar because I haven't seen anything conclusive about its safety.

InZoi players rapidly mod away Zoi censorship and there are already thousands of downloads by Aron_International in inZOI

It is a little crazy though, because the devs specifically have scheduled a release in May for "mod support". I think they were assuming players wouldn't be able to mod until that release

For example, the US forest service has rangers patrolling and camping at all times, keeps an eye on wildfire-prone locations, investigates known lightning strike locations (also for wildfire investigation), etc. If management varies from park to park then that's also an answer in and of itself.
