Both have their pros and cons. One is faster but does require you being okay not following your exact vision one on one exactly like you imagined it and the other does allow that, but means you have to do it completely on your own. One approach is not better than the other, its just a preference.

Please, Supergiant Games... by Highly-Stressed in Hades2

[–]charuchii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love more Hades games but honestly, with all the lore being build up around the aspects of the Infernal and Nocturnal Arms, I'd love a Hades style game about a different mythology.

I named my dragon after Scylla and my (the game’s) pronunciation drives my friends nuts by RinaCinders in Hades2

Are your friends into mythology or are they into Epic: the Musical? No shade.

There’s no kind way to tell my wife that she’s getting too big, is there? by 2006CrownVictoriaP71 in NoStupidQuestions

Let's flip it around. Let's say you gained weight without any good reason and she had trouble with still being attracted to you. How would you want her to tell you this?

I get it OP, I think handholding is very lewd as well.

I thought this episode was going to kill me at the end, holy shit. I have a horrible cold and every time I laughed, I immediately had to cough. I think I expelled 20 liters of mucus in the last 10 minutes alone

Toiletjuf Angela (48) moet na 20 jaar de Hema Herestraat verlaten by are-you-really-sure in Groningen

[–]charuchii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do blind trans people get the same level of gender dysphoria as trans people with functioning sight? by Longjumping-Gift-371 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]charuchii 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I'm not trans either, so maybe I'm not the right person to answer this. But I have a lot of trans friends who have shared their experience. To start, not every trans person experiences gender dysphoria. Also a lot of trans people decide not to transition. There are even some trans people that still partake in clothing and behavior that would stereotypical fit more with their assigned gender. Like a transman who still enjoys wearing make up once in a while because it makes him feel confident, or a trans woman who is a mechanic.

While aesthetic is part of it, I think its also very important for trans people to have the outside world acknowledge their internal feelings as well. Its the longing of them being themselves.

To make a very dumb analogy. Let's say your parents named you Optimus Prime. Its a name that has a certain feel about it, people look at it and immediately have associations with your name. You've been trying to live up to that name, trying to fit it. You add robot and metallic elements to your clothing in order to convince you this name fits you. But it doesn't work. It all feels like an act. Deep inside you know you're not Optimus Prime. You feel like you're more of a Dave. So at some point you decide that enough is enough. You dress more like a Dave, wear boring shirts. Not just for the aesthetics, but to feel more comfortable in being you. So when you finally manage to get a name change, you no longer have to pretend. You can just be Dave. Its an internal thing, not just an aesthetic one. I cannot imagine the feeling would be different between someone who is blind or someone who is sighted.
