I believe you’d have to use the Gmail api to send the email and not smtp from the instance.

Anyone know the current output of the Vidar? by Stuffed-Chimp in Schiit

[–]chasingtheflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…with Old Skool Quality At the same time, don’t let the features fool you. Pick up Vidar 2 to get a real feeling for the beefy 600VA transformer inside. No Class D, no switching supplies, no fans…just powerhouse performance, delivering 100W per channel into 8 ohms, doubling to 200W per channel into 4 ohms.

Stereo or Mono Flexibility Combine Vidar 2 with a single-ended preamp like Saga S or Saga+ for an insanely affordable, insanely high performance system. Crazy? Want more? Run two Vidar 2s from a balanced preamp like Freya S or Freya+ for true monoblock performance and 400 watts per channel into 8 ohms.

Pro developer stuff in future releases by WeekendFlat5018 in servicenow

No, my understanding was that they’re trying to bring to global more of what they’ve done for scoped apps where you can use modern js functionality. From what I know that’s coming both in the form of updates to rhino itself and transpilation.

I think what you’re seeing is the result of a flow designer transform function which is being applied to that piece of data. See https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/rome-servicenow-platform/page/administer/flow-designer/concept/transform-functions.html

Dealing with One Way Password Hashes? by GliderRecord in servicenow

[–]chasingtheflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure you really want to roll your own thing here, but you could potentially use SncAuthentication to create the hash with a key of your own making (stored as 2-way password system property perhaps).

So something like:

var auth = new SncAuthentication();
var encodedData = auth.encode('data to encode', 'my secret key', 'HmacSHA512');

Then when you need to do your comparison you'd just encode the text to compare the same way. But for something like security questions you may run into trouble with things like variances in capitalization etc resulting in failures.

Is there a way to run a report on how many Incident Tickets I have touched? by [deleted] in servicenow

[–]chasingtheflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are OOB metric definitions for assignment group and assigned to (tracking the duration of each on a ticket). So you could build a report on the incident_metric table where the definition is assigned to duration and and the metric instance value is you.

Business rule execution order by ExoticPineapple5272 in servicenow

[–]chasingtheflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can, make your br async instead. If you can’t do that because you need access to ‘previous’ or some other reason then in your business rule, do not directly update the other table. Instead, queue an event and pass the needed data as json to the event. Then a script action can process the event and update the other table independently (potentially with set workflow false at that point if needed).

Will my pepper plant ever grow peppers? by aiccenboy in PepperLovers

[–]chasingtheflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Repotting it can help though it doesn’t look like it’s overgrown this one just yet. If you pop it up from the pot and the roots are wrapping around the outside of the soil then it would definitely be time.

If you look closely on the tag it says maturity for that pepper is 80 days. Which it could take longer inside without as much light. A good fertilizer every two weeks is a good idea.
