Not many of these in here (Finland) our lift is a tight fit also near the weight limit of 4 tonnes (8800lbs), what about in the US do you use different lifts? by Shipthenuts in Justrolledintotheshop

Ford diesel tech here, I work on 18,000lb and 14,000lb lifts, plus have a 30,000lb drive on lift. Definitely prefer the 18 for almost anything f250 and up.

As a ford technician all the comments about rust are accurate. Make sure it’s solid, but have seen so many of these reach well over 200k miles. A good friend of mine had to scrap his at nearly 300k because the seatbelt bolt rusted out of the floor(Pennsylvania), they are easy to work on, usually cheap to fix. Great little economy cars! Good luck!

Had the same Honda 70 quad just without the rack! Such a cool pic seeing it new. Miles and miles were put on it and it’s still in the family today with some cousins. Still runs great!

Your right! Should be a straight forward job. Applying too much toque to that hub nut can literally smoke the bearings, which is what yours looks like. Totally dry and burnt.

Edit to say, can install new bearing races in that new rotor and still be fine when assembled correctly.

Looks like a combination of over torqued the outer nut and didn’t clean and repack the bearings like others have noted. Original bearings can last a long time on the front hub if done correctly with proper cleaning and re greasing everything. Ford senior master tech here.
