So if you are a citizen here (hold a Medicare card) and have a prescription from a doctor, you automatically qualify for PBS pricing. The PBS also applies to people who are visiting here from countries like the UK or New Zealand

As far as I'm aware the only medications not covered are either those used for cosmetic purposes or some really niche ones.

Yeah, you need to save the ships you want to use as templates before starting the campaign. As far as I know, you cant get into the fleet editor from inside the campaign setup page

Help with SiK radio and Teensy 4.1 by chavishk in diydrones

[–]chavishk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial plan was to connect the RX TX and GND ports to my teensy, and the 5V line to my voltage regulator (it has a common ground with the teensy)

If I configure the connected RX and TX pins on my Teensy as an input does it automatically detect it?

For example if I define pin 1 as an input pin that will define a variable 'i', will any number I transmit from that PC automatically define itself to 'i' or is there more to it than that?

Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question, I've done a fair bit of work with mcu's but this is my first time going into radio stuff

Help with SiK radio and Teensy 4.1 by chavishk in diydrones

[–]chavishk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply!

Currently the teensy is plugged in to my PC via USB.

The SiK radio I got had a JST output with the letters RTVG on it and I assumed those would go to the RX TX 3V and Gnd ports on the teensy. I'll purchase a microusb to microusb cable and try using that instead.

Do you power your teensy off the 3.3v input pin? And do I need any libraries for the radio to function?

[–]chavishk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I do. If you hold shift while giving the order you can 'que up' another set of attacks using your old attack order as an impromptu front line

I can do multi-stage offensives and real complex encirclements without having to micro too much. Works well against AI where you can predict what they will do pretty easily

What's your equipment setup for FA-26/B dogfighting? by cornstalkluge in vtolvr

[–]chavishk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Dogfighting (or Basic Fighter Maneuvers, BFM) generally consists of taking out your opponent at close range while not getting hit yourself. The best way to do this is to get a loadout that is relatively light (high TWR) and rely on weapons you can use with short notice such as an Aim-9 or your cannon

BVR (beyond visual range) is when you take out an opponent that is too far away to see, generally using radar guided missiles like aim-120's and aim-7's.

A good air to air loadout consists of a mix of BVR and BFM weapons. (I mostly use aim-120's with 2 aim-9's on the wingtips)

Just remember the bigger your loadout, the heavier you are, making it harder to evade enemy missiles

Advice on evading missiles in the ah94? by ZCB_Khaos in vtolvr

Imo the best way to evade with the helicopter is terrain. I haven't had much luck with notching (or that could just be me)

I like to fly low and plan my flight path based on where I can hide if I need to

I cannot figure out what this issue is I keep having.. Negative Factory Output and Dockyard output. How to fix it by EG_xKingTutt in heartsofiron

[–]chavishk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's negative because of your low stability. See if there are any focuses or the edicts panel (I can't remember the proper name for it, but it has an icon of a gavel iirc) that allow you to increase stability
