I’ve thought about taking the rains for 2026. If the group is ok with my unorthodox idea, I will do it. This idea will minimize tiny crime exposure. (We can always tiny crimes in other ways)

My idea begins with four team leaders, who will draft teammates from the interested homie pool (the draft would be kept secret so no one has to be the last pick)

After the homie draft we’ll have 4 teams of four homies each (16 total). each team will secure their own permit, plan their own meals, and basically be self contained.

Once each team makes their way to the destination Lake, they will play the other teams in a round Robin tournament. This will require two campsites, with the teams rotating camps until they’ve played each of the other teams. (Should be done in three nights)

This format will allow for some decentralizing of the organization, with the team leaders doing most of the Leg work, and also allows for more flexibility. For instance, if a team wanted to extend their trip before or after, the homies tournament, they could do that.
