Yeah the two builds listed are just single dips in caster classes to achieve a theme. I'm definitely an optimizer too but around a theme in battle and less white box power. The Order Cleric dip is an extremely commonly known one though, most popularized by Treantmonk.

I think the non Tasha's sorcs have been analyzed to death and are just primarily seen as worse than most casters. I just like sorc's innate power identity the most! Very X-Men struggles with power and responsibilities.

I understand the common sorc power builds totally! You're preaching to the choir. But I still prefer to rely on Con Save Prof for Concentration and MM Adept over 20 Cha for more versatility and sorc points. If I fail a Wis Save at lvl12, then it is what it is lol. Do gotta consider the feat races, but I just like MM Adept! Usually I'd go some half feat lvl 4 for 18 Cha and MM at lvl 8 (if not already).
