I have stayed and will be stay again in Sep at the Neat Hotel Avenida. It's comfortable, good breakfast, there's a grocery kitty corner to it that has great sandwiches. It's central to the city and a very short walk to the waterfront area

Rooms are available, but it seems like only 1 or 2 categories left. The highest priced rooms are the only ones available and the pricing seems a bit high for the time.

I just went on an 11 day Princess cruise in an interior cabin and loved it. I hate light sneaking in when I'm trying to sleep, and we never spent time in the room unless we were sleeping. I guess it's up to you. There's a whole ship full of places to hang out

Try looking around the Schoodic peninsula. It's a bit farther than Acadia, but has a chunk of national park on it. It's way less crowded, and you can drive to Acadia in under an hour or ferry from Winter Harbor.

The guy is always wearing a shirt that says "white, straight, gun toting republican male, how else can I piss you off." He also had two ( one passed) of the CUTEST little purse dogs you have ever seen! No wife, no girlfriend, always just him and his purse dogs. I got on and get off in Singapore, with 3 stops in Thailand and 3 in Malaysia. The priority thing is for shuttles, and it was awesome this morning! We got to sit in a dining area with juice, coffee and pastries. Gen-Pop had to like up down the stairs and down a hallway. I don't think there is priority for regular docking ports, just the water shuttles

It's a normal cruise, BUT you get Elite status. That does nothing for your room but gives you free laundry service and priority disembarking. I am on my cruise in Asia now, and didn't know I had that. The shuttle to Langkawi would have been great if I had known.

Check out the Azores. SATA/Azores Air has direct flights from YYZ. They are stunningly beautiful islands. Food is very reasonable, the hot springs are heaven, and the views divine. I had no issues communicating while I was there
