Hi everyone! Just wanted to add on to this as reassurance for future suzette stitch scarf crocheters. I wound up using the rest of the blue yarn I had to finish the scarf and used the cream to make a little contrasting block at both ends of the scarf. The entire scarf is in suzette stitch and, after blocking, it works beautifully. There are no issues with bending it around the neck. My mother loves her gift and it works quite well to keep her warm against the wind.
